EVO Software Question

I have software version 3.30.651.2, hardware version 003, & Hboot 2.02. Just ROOTED my Evo with Unrevoked 3.3 and it was a success, it worked like a charm.

My question is, do I just leave my software version alone or should I update it to the newest one out? Will that unroot my phone?

I got the wireless tether and that works great, any other ROOTED apps that I should try or tips for a new ROOTER?

Thanks

pretty sure everyone is gonna tell you to visit http://forum.androidcentral.com/htc-evo-4g-roms-hacks/50253-psa-rooting-help-info-asking-help.html first.
but you need to flash roms, not just the update or you will lose root. (you might like this [ROM] 12/31/10 | SPRINT LOVERS | 2.2 | 3.70.651.1 | Radio/Wimax/PRI All-In-One - xda-developers as its the latest near stock rom) i started with myns warm rls4 rom and downgraded to the 3.70 PRI (for battery purposes) and running netarchy 4.2.3 no havs kernal and its runnin like a champ! as far as apps....its up to you...theres a whole market full of them..plus 30+ other threads of the same question you asked.

my evo will be a week old tomorrow...its been neverending fun!

The OP requested any other suggestions; try titanium backup(you can start with the free version) to backup apps and data prior to flashing a rom like orange suggested.
