I just bought the Fascinate 2 days ago so I have a week or so to like it or not. I'm starting to get frustrated cause if this is the trend all their updates are gonna take... oh man!

I'm new to VZ and don't really know much about all the phones but I heard that other phones are long onto the newer firmwares

I have tried to update several times today and it still says no new updates available. Does it come out in batches or is something probably wrong with my phone?

They usually roll it out in waves, yes. It usually occurs over a several day (up to two weeks sometimes) period, so if you don't see it right away don't be alarmed.

Also, just flashed using Odin. Restoring data and apps now.

So I am wondering if I need to do anything for the update. I rooted and renamed bing when I first got the phone. Then the first ota update came. I did not unroot or change anything before running the update. The update removed the superuser, so unrooted me, but did not change my debinging. I have not rooted or really done anything since this time. You think I am good for the update? Hope it leaves the debing.

I had planned to root and do a custom rom but the phone worked, and every 3 days we were supposed to get froyo....lol.

I hate to tell you this but it doesn't look promising. Trust me if they were pushing the update monday even in waves, someone on the forum would have received it and posted. We know it will come but don't know when. Personally I'm not going to believe anyone til I see it.

just bought the fascinate today. checked for update (a few minutes before 11:30pm pacific) and no dice.

i'll pass the time playing with my new device. hot damn this screen is amazing.

so its right at 7 am here in Virginia no update im guessing its not going to be here anytime soon. Has anyone talked to vzw to see what the problem is or what.
