FedEx Sucks

The thing about Fedex is that everything goes through their hub in Memphis or wherever it is.. you could ship something from Oakland to San Fran and it still goes through memphis

Wrong - a lot of phones are coming from West Chester, PA. Mine never went through Memphis.

Yup, join the club bud. My phone is getting here after it arrives in stores. :(

Fedex does suck at times though. but imagine moving millions/thousands of packages every day.

The problem is mine sat in West Chester PA from Wed morning to Friday morning (and didn't move every day). When I asked fedex why, they said they sort by delivery date and since my delivery date is Monday.....

mine went from west chester pa, ( an hour from my house) that was on thurs. to newark nj. on fri. (2 hours from my house) I called and said is it usual for you people to just drive things all over the nation for no apparent reason. The answer was per the sender I could not receive phone earlier than the 2 day period. I said can I drive to location and pick up, (now in allentown sorting facility) they said nope, have to wait for delivery on Mon. This definitely was Verizons doing. They probably aren't prepared to activate phones till Mon. I saw some posts earlier this week when people first started receiving phones and were having problems activating.

Very few people from what I saw had problems activating their phones although some did. Most had no problems at all. Verizon does not dictate to FedEx when they can or can not deliver and thousands of phones have gone out already. FedEx won't let you pick up early if the phone is not sorted in the final destination.
I respectfully say your theory is completely wrong.

I think Verizon is telling FedEx they cant be delivered until 7/9, no way FedEx lets a package stay in Memphis for over 2 days just because they want it to

Verizon says mine shipped out on the 5th. "Supposed" to arrive on Monday the 9th by 3PM. Overnight my A$$ !

Went from Memphis and now sitting in Louisville.

You obviously haven't been reading the forums much. A LOT of people have received their phones and activated them.

FedEx has to honor the shipping method of the sender. If it's two day, then it's two days. You could have opted for overnight shipping at an additional charge, but obviously you didn't. I don't think anyone could go to a FedEx sorting facility and pick up a package. A FedEx shipping/drop off location? Yes.

And people are activating these devices everyday.

everything fedex air goes through memphis.. Now fedex ground is most likely a different story.. thats why some may not go through memphis.. but if I had to guess I'd say everyone living west of the Mississipis phone will go through memphis hehe :p

Something is up somewhere. All my Fed Ex tracking info and VZW shipping info states "overnight". Shipped on 5th arriving on 9th (maybe). Shipped from Memphis to Louisville, about a four hour drive or so not four days !

I am in NJ and my phone was 2 hours away from here in PA on July 4th. My phone is being delivered tomorrow. FedEx does their own prioritizing and it's not necessarily geographic. If it was geographic I would have had my phone last week.

Yeah, they do suck! My phone was dropped off in PA on July 4th by VZW, since July 6th it has been in NJ, and it's scheduled for delivery Monday, July 9th by 7pm. I ordered day 1.

For the hell of it, I called FedEx to see how this is two day shipping. The rep. I talked to tried to tell me "it is two day shipping, Thursday is the first day." I then said, "Friday is the 2nd day, but it's going to be delivered Monday?" The rep. just said, "Umm, yeah, two day shipping."

It was dropped off on the July 4th holiday which means that the clock didn't start until the 5th. 2 days from the 5th was a Saturday. Therefore Monday is the 2nd day. I'm waiting for my phone tomorrow as well after it was dropped off on July 4th but I do understand the calendar. We just got caught between a holiday and a weekend. It's nobody's fault except the Declaration of Independence.

My phone has the same shipping info as you. And Fedex told me while it shows as picked up on 7/4, they were closed that day. 7/5 is the first day, but that doesn't count as one of the 2 days. Think about it - if it's over night, it would be delivered 7/6. So 2 day is 7/9 since they don't deliver on Saturday unless you pay for Sat delivery when package is shipped.

i do know if im picking overnight, im picking UPS lol. ordered overnight from newegg ups and it came in, overnight

UPS makes Fedex look like rookies. My phone has never been more than an hour away for 2 days. Wtf. UPS would have delivered this thing within a few hours, not days. They dont have excuses!

I just got my shipment notification--say it's shipped today, overnight, expected delivery of Tuesday. Wtf? Last I checked Tuesday isn't tomorrow.
