Got mine today as well. I didn't do anything special, it just showed up. It's a Nexus 6 from Best Buy running with a Cricket sim (was on LMY48T, now MRA58K).

Reading the OP's message, I too removed my AT&T SIM on the phone and restarted. Lo & Behold ... Marshmallow comes in!!!

I dont understand why it has to be so, since I didnt buy the phone through AT&T and nor is it locked to AT&T.

Edit - The phone failed to complete the OTA update. When I go to software Update section, it shows Marshmallow waiting to download. May take upto 45 mins

That doesn't sound ridiculous, at all.

But I tried it earlier morning and it produces no results. BIIIIG SURPRISE. HAVE YOUR LAUGHS GOOGLE, LAUGH IT UP CHUCKLES. I don't know what I'm even expecting from this update. It's not like it's going to overhaul the device.

This is not a sustainable relationship Google.

Re: Fyi 6.0 OTA on Nexus 6 available immediately after factory reset

a share of phones on the 5.1.1 builds that are in rollout mode are receiving the m ota daily.... No matter what they do.

I deleted my facebook app and got the ota. (not really)

no it is magic!!!!

Marshmallow first impressions

Now that the OTA seems to be on its way, I thought we could share our views about Marshmallow in one thread. So, what do you guys like or dislike in Marshmallow?

Likes
- New volume controls. Finally able to change notification volume while listening to music.
- Do not disturb automatic rules. I can now set DND automatically during the times I have classes.
- Being able to rearrange quick settings.
- New copy and paste buttons - the old ones were a bit confusing.

Can't comment on yet
- Battery life - too early to tell, I had M for 5 hours now.
- Now on tap - again, haven't had much chance to use it.
- App data saved in drive - it doesn't seem many apps are on board yet. Also, this is a bit of a hidden option in google drive settings. I think it should be in the main settings.

Dislikes
- That the phone lock-screen shortcut has been replaced by voice search. I use voice search even less than the phone function of my phone. Maybe I should give it a try.

Re: Marshmallow first impressions

I feel about the same as you do. The battery life though seems about the same when using it often. I haven't been able to test how doze helps yet.

Well compiled. Those seem the most obvious changes. I miss the phone shortcut since I used it quite a bit.

On tap is a good feature and I already used it productively.
Hopefully the doze feature will increase the battery life and that's something I'm looking forward to.

Hopefully there'll be more gems hidden in the system

6.0 is really not that great. Battery life has only doubled. Boot up time has dropped from a minute, to 14 seconds which is probably due to the extra 2gb of ram its now showing.
I was also surprised to see that the back cover can now be removed exposing an SD card slot and a removable battery, but it fully charges now in 20 minutes so that's kind of a moot point. Oh yeah, the Iris scanner appears to be quicker than the FP scanner on my Nexus 6P but I've only had it for a couple of weeks and need to do further testing......

Re: Marshmallow first impressions

Is anyone else that is running on 6.0 having poorer battery life than they did on 5.1.1? I have tried everything, wiped data and cache, total reset started from scratch as a new device, hardly any apps downloaded and still my battery life was better on 5.1.1 than this.
