Yet to check on battery life. Its 10:15 AM here, and my battery is at 89% , whereas with 5.1.1 it used to be close to 75-80 by now. Similar usage pattern.

I just think the phone has slowed down compared to Lollipop, though not in a disturbing manner

Re: Marshmallow first impressions

I'm seeing huge gains both when idle and active. I just started looking into it in a bit more detail, but the screen appears to be consuming a lot less power since the final build. I am not sure if that number is the physical screen itself, or if it takes the GPU into account.... but whatever the case, I'm TOTALLLY fine with it.

6.0 is really not that great. Battery life has only doubled. Boot up time has dropped from a minute, to 14 seconds which is probably due to the extra 2gb of ram its now showing.
I was also surprised to see that the back cover can now be removed exposing an SD card slot and a removable battery, but it fully charges now in 20 minutes so that's kind of a moot point. Oh yeah, the Iris scanner appears to be quicker than the FP scanner on my Nexus 6P but I've only had it for a couple of weeks and need to do further testing......

Here is the awesomeness that is Marshmallow. I took the phone off the charger at 10pm. Screen shot was at 5:30am......

On t-mobile and not feeling too hopeful. They took an extra 6 months to get us the WiFi calling they promised so what's to prevent the 6.0 rollout from taking just as long? What the he'll is tmo testing? It's stock android on GSM, of course it works on your network.

Quit being like Verizon and let it through there's no reason why people who ordered the nexus 6p and have it ship after October 25 should be experiencing marshmallows goodness before me.

Re: Fyi 6.0 OTA on Nexus 6 available immediately after factory reset

Bought the N6 off of Moto maker and had a Verizon sim. first had a project fi sim though so maybe that helped in some way.

"while on standby" that's the key, everyone on 6.0 is probably seeing better battery life on standby, most likely contributed to Doze. But kind of a useless item while on standby. I use my phone for work which is field service work, no desk, no wall outlet next to me. I could make it through the work day but I was down to 18% at 5pm. The same Nexus 6 on 5.1.1 was usually down to about 35% using the same phone, same working area and environment, same usage.
I'm going to do a data wipe cache wipe and start over one more time with using no added apps. I'll see how that works out.

I like, but notice now that ringtone volume is just for ringtone when it used to work for my text tones, too. Now my media volume is for my text tones.

I'm not about to lose all my media just to see if that works nor should I or any of us be forced to resort to such extreme measures.

The same with flashing, the entire point of a nexus device is that you get the latest greatest android goodness right away without the need for rooting or anything like that.

I was so excited to finally have a nexus and it's been a dream but now I feel kind of like I've been. Galaxy Nexused.

You know, the nexus that wasn't a real nexus and never got any updates?

I could understand if this was on a vz sim but for the love of God its t-mobile, you know the good guys?

Why you gotta play me like this tmo?

I spent years trapped in vz he'll yearning for the fresh air of liberty you promised and yet now I feel as if I have been betrayed.

Must I seek solace in the arms of fi in order to get straight, uninterrupted ota updates?
