"Finally HTC One X users appear a step closer to receiving an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, with some handsets set to receive the upgrade as soon as next month.
According to Modaco.com, the Jelly Bean update will begin being rolled out to generic unlocked HTC One X handsets before being made available to operator branded versions of the device.
Modaco says that assuming both Google and operators give it the green light, all HTC One X handsets should be upgradeable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean by Christmas.
Modaco has also reaffirmed expectations that the HTC One X+ will arrive with Jelly Bean, while the HTC One XL, the first 4G handset to be made available on the Everything Everywhere network (now EE), will also be packing the latest version of Android when it becomes available in the coming months.
Sadly there?s no word on any Jelly Bean update for HTC One S users just yet, but with the One X seemingly edging closer we remain hopeful."
