Fingerprint Scanner Not Working Well

It works well for me, but I still prefer the face unlock. I only need the fps with bank apps and Samsung pay etc

You can add up to four of them, could be the same finger or different doesn't matter.
Bad idea - it you injure that finger, it may not register. (And if it has to be bandaged, you're without a phone.) At least one finger on each hand gives you more chance. Two on each is better, but not thumb and index finger - grab something and you could cut or burn them both. Thumb or index finger (depending on how you grab the phone) and ring finger or pinky gives you a better chance of having an uninjured fingertip.

I never register same finger, was just saying the system doesn't restrict you.

And registering that many times is unnecessary if you capture most angles to begin with.

This might've already been posted but in settings-display if you scroll down it says "touch sensitivity".

It says it helps with touch sensitivity when use of screen protectors.

Have you guys done this? I just found this tonight and had o turn it on manually. It wasn't already on.Screenshot_20190310-202959_Settings.jpg

My experience is it works better with a finger than thumb which is a pain as it is the thumb that I want to use. I'd also echo the moisturiser, if my hands are even a little bit dry the hit rate drops off.

The Face ID is making up for it but I really know deep down that I should switch off face unlock as it is just not secure, if I did not have it on though then I think the FPS would become a big frustration. I do think that Samsung dropped the ball here, when apple introduced a new biometric they made sure it worked and Huawei offered proper 3d face unlock on the Mate 20 pro as well as the in screen FPS.

The only thing I have not tried yet is removing the screen protector. Need to be sure I am keeping it before I do that.

I seem to recall quite a few complaints about Face ID when it first came out (and heck, it even failed on stage during the demo of it).

It did not actually fail on stage it worked as it should they just forgot that pointing it at another face would lock it! I am an android person these days and I prefer a FPS but Face ID in the iPhone worked properly right off the bat. I can only imagine the social media backlash if Apple released a FPS that needed you to moisturise to work properly!

I had issues with my fingerprint scanner originally. This is what I done and it seems to have resolved the issue.

1. Install latest update
2. Go into Settings > Biometrics and Security > Fingerprints
3. Remove all saved fingerprints
4. Re add fingerprints

For some reason mine seems to work better after adding fingerprinters AFTER installing the update.

My unlocked phone had an update yesterday and it's working much better now. Still have face unlock on though, got used to it.

I'm not in love with the FPS, it's cool and I love advancement in technology but I feel it's a year too soon.

It took me a day to get used to it, and I still have the factory screen protector on my S10+.

The first day I was disappointed and even though of removing the screen Samsung screen protector but then I gave it a day and now I unlock the phone with ease.
