I understand that it's fun to pick a side and argue that side to the death. I've done it myself at times on this site and sometimes I re-read it and realize I sound like a fool. Anyone on here standing on their soapbox and repeatedly saying OS updates should not be expected, need to think about how they would feel if they never got updates. Everyone talking about how we shouldn't want updates, are those who own the 2014 Note 10.1, the Note 3, the Nexus 7 (probably the newest one) or they own the Moto X or the HTC One or some other newer device. It's so easy to judge people with older devices when you are able to get the newest and most recent device every 3-6 months. Some of us can't, and when you can't (if you're a big fan of Android and technology) you REALLY want some of these new features that get announced. Maybe those of you who have the blessing and opportunity to upgrade at will, just take a small step back and try to see it from the other point of view.
Sure, no one should demand upgrades or get angry if/when they wont happen. But don't talk at us about how after a year this or that may or may not happen because you probably don't ever or very often have the same device for a year. If you don't like or hope for upgrades, that's fantastic for you. But that doesn't mean some of us can't hope for them or even get frustrated when they don't happen. Hope can easily and quickly change into frustration over time and that's natural. I don't understand why we have to debate the same topic in circles for 4+ pages every couple weeks. Those who agree can discuss, and those who disagree can speak their peace and move on. With your brand spanking new electronics you probably have better things to do anyway!
