GB Rom Leaked for HTC EVO

Hey guys, just read this on XDA. Just gonna copy and paste.

Btw, anyone worried about NOT being able to do a Nandroid after this- download EVO_Radio_2.15.00.11.19_WiMAX_27167_R01_PRI_NV_1.90_003.zip and if you don't like using this ROM, use that combination to reflash to radios that work with Froyo and restore your Nandroid.

Quick Steps:
1. Recovery
2. Flash what I posted
3. Nandroid restore

anyone try with current radios yet???

i'd really hate to give up my wonderfull battery life.
 
Does it? I still haven't checked it out yet but I saw someone's posted screenshot of the shutdown screen that doesn't have any reboot options. If it does, sweet!
 
just dont forget that its a "leaked test version" so its prob the early stages of gingerbread update for the evo and the sense hasnt just been updated yet.....:)
 
The installation keeps aborting after wiping all. I'm using clockwork recovery 2.5. Should I use a newer version? It gave me probs in the past...

Give "Amon_Ra v2.3" a try. A lot of people have much better luck with it, just flash it through "ROM Manager" under Alternate Recovery. You'll have to make a new Nandroid backup after you flash it though. After that wipe and flash away. :D Also the only thing I've noticed that isn't working is the brightness control, tried it both ways. Through settings and through "Power Control". No worries though, thing is like butter. :cool:
 
Sorry if I missed this. A little confused if we established if the radios work as-is or is there a custom radio that needs to be flashed?
 
so there is no way to get the leak without being rooted? Sometimes, when these leaks are available, they'll eventually have a rom installer type of link so that a stock evo reboots with the update...do developers make these or are these type of leaks done by HTC/Sprint?
 
gingerbread requires clockword 3.05 think it is. least i had to update when i tried the cm7. which is based off gingerbread.

amon works though.
 
I have never been able to use Amon for some reason. I flash the alternate recovery then I reboot into recovery the manual way? Every time I end up in clockwork????

I haven't flashed any radios, just Nan'd, wiped, then flashed the zip. Here is the setup after the flash, everything seems be working fine. :)

Nope, no way to get this on an unrooted phone. It's a rooted ROM that has to be flashed in recovery.
