GB Rom Leaked for HTC EVO

are these type of leaks done by HTC/Sprint?

Yes it is from HTC/Sprint, but because we cannot sign packages to be put thru the stock recovery/bootloader (only HTC/sprint can) we cannot get em on a stock phone. Therefore the need for root.

Edit: I tried using amon recovery and did as said above and still aborting. With amon says a certain file is missing.

I can't get it to flash. When doing it from Tom manager it aborts after it says updating. From recovery it says bad after update. Any of you great android ppl have idea? I am noob. But I am a flash junkie quick learner. Thank you

My thoughts...
Some text and graphics are nicer and larger.
My brightness controls no longer work. It is stuck at Max brightness.

If anyone wants to know how I upgraded, ill be happy to share.

Edit: just on phone still learning tapatalk. Believe this is a flashable version TMartin03 posted on xda. I am d/l now so not sure but pists on xda said it is. Hope I am doing this right and helps.

If you could please tell me I would greatly appreciate the help. I tried using amon recovery but telling me the file is missing. When d/l it and did the flash in clock recovery then tried from rom manager then amon still no dice.

Quick question Tomcat420m....where are you putting the zip file? You gotta make sure that thing is on the root of SD card when you go to install. Very important.

I looked at the screenshots of this GB Rom, it looks exactly like Froyo. I didnot see GB icons may that will change in the final build ?

OK I didn't think of that. I had it in download folder. I don't use that and so didn't think it mattered. But I am still noob.I got it with link I had in same folder. Nothing seems different between this and gb though, like posted couple posts down. Does say its 2.3.3 though.

Yes it is 2.3.3
ROM is super fast as well. There are a lot of little differences inside of it that you wouldn't notice until you go to use them. For example, the copy and paste method has been greatly improved imo. They also changed the font around a little. Made the words a bit more slim if that makes sense. One thing I like that they have changed is the pointer arrow. You know that arrow that pops up when you tap inside of a word...it kinda looks like a futuristic grey and green rain drop. Other than that it still is the same "Sense" experience with quite a few bug fixes. Kinda wished they would have used Sense 2.0 because of the super fast boot time, but no worries. I know the community is going to have a lot of fun with this.

Anyone else having trouble with GMail syncing? I flashed the TMartin ROM last night. I am receiving new emails. However, they are still "unread" in GMail, and I have to use browser-based GMail to mark them as read. Otherwise, the ROM is working great.

Can someone please check if the 4g scan issue/bug has been fixed. The problem is when you turn on 4g then turn it off, it still continues to scan. TIA..

Since this is a test build for the Evo, it is more than likely to be officially released some time in the future. Hopefully HTC is putting in sense 2.0! That would be AWESOME!

Word over at XDA is that the 4g scan bug is fixed. Of course there are lots of other bugs right now, but that is definitely solved.

The Sense 3.0 leaked ROM for the pyramid is 500mb, just FYI, so all that candy has a cost.
