Google Nexus 6 on Verizon

The nexus 6 works perfectly fine on Verizon. I just got the 64gig one. I had a Samsung Galaxy S4 so my sim card wouldn't work since it needs a nano and S4 is a micro. I had a broken Moto X that took to store and asked to activate and took the new sim card and put it in the nexus 6 and works perfect.

Fixed! talked to a verizon tech, all i had to do was give me the IMEI and the nano sim again. *Apparently the person earlier changed the ESN number and basically deactivated my phone? *so all the tech did was put the nano sim back on the nexus 6 to activate the phone! *he has activated a few nexus 6's, too. *He was one of the few techs that knew what he was doing, imo! lol Jacob from tech services. He knows his stuff.

ok so N6 works on Vzw, can I cut my sim card down from my S4 to make it work or not? or is there an easier way to get a nano sim from VZW

Having that problem now. Is the fix as simple as going to previous phone just for the changes to take effect and then go back to Nexus 6?

Is great to know the N6 works on Vzw but I still have to wait for official vzw version comes out so I can do Edge, can't fork out $700 right now. :(

At this point I think verizon is going to have some sort of Mark on the bootloader. I can imagine a Google guy telling verizon to stop being greedy and to be like the rest of the carriers. On the bright side though if the bootloader somehow comes encrypted I have no doubt the nexus community will put up a fight

I have never owned a Nexus. If I bought a TMobile Nexus 6 and it turned out to have a bad ESN for some reason would I still be able to use it on Verizon? I'm just making sure before I buy this one off craigslist so that if for some reason it did have a bad ESN I could still use it

I'm wondering the same thing here

I'm more thinking after purchased. I know it works now, but if defaulted with t mobile in the future, wondering if it then would disrupt my Verizon service.

If that happens and they blacklist it, yes it will.

I too simply took the nano-sim from my Moto X and put it in my Nexus and it worked with no issues.

Get it from Motorola with interest free 18 month financing. If you are off contract with VZW, and you should be if you're upgrading your phone, you will than get a $25 discount per month on your service. At the end of 2 years, you'll save $600 on your service, and in the end the phone will cost you $100. The Moto payment will be higher because you will have paid in full in a shorter period of time than you would on Edge.

So after my 2 year agreement, vzw knocks $25 a month of my bill?

Do not sign up for a new 2 year agreement and bring your own device. It can be the one that just came off contract, or a new one bought at full price from VZW or elsewhere You also need to be signed up for a 10gb plan.

Then, and this is VZW doin' it's thing:

You have to explicitly ask for the discount. It is not automatic.

That is what I am doing, I am saving money in the long run. Honestly, anyone will save money using the edge program even if you are buying the phone gradually month per month. The catch is, you have to be tempted to switch phones after 1 year.
