Google Store Trade-in tracker

Holy crap finally reached Memphis, at least in Tennessee now

Dropped off in Seattle area on October 18th, took it's sweet time to reach Tennessee. Now probably another couple of week to reach warehouse.

Anyone else from Memphis distribution center, how long it took for Google to acknowledge device received email?

Mine arrived and departed Memphis all in the same day (Oct 20th). I got the email that the trade in was received on Oct 27th and credited to my account on Oct 31st. Hang in there.

Took me exactly one week from time of arrival to when they acknowledged with an email.. But then only one day to approve the refund.

Received my 4XL 11 days ago. Emailed me today to ask what the IMEI is. I am not getting my trade in, Google stole my phone.

Shipping is an odd thing... I got my shipping confirmation email for my Pixel Watch last Tuesday afternoon, and FedEx showed up with it literally 13 minutes later (ok, they were really slow to advise it had shipped).

My P6 Pro trade-in has been sitting in Nashville since last Wednesday...

The return is only tracked by USPS until arrival at Nashville. There the individual phone boxes are placed into a large container for the company performing the assessment for Google. No further tracking is available after that. Right now it seems to be running about 1-2 weeks from arrival in Nashville until the phone value and refund is reported to the end user.

May I ask you, where you got that information from? It's that accurate?

Google refunded the money for both phones to my Google Store account this morning. I had some issues with UPS losing my wife's P7 Pro for 2 days and then this issue with USPS tracking the return boxes. But so far, so good for me; all refunds are issued and I got 2 brand new phones for way less than the price of 1 when all was said & done. I hope everyone else has a positive outcome, and sooner rather than later. Fingers crossed.

Finally got both the "we got your trade in" and "your refund is on its way" emails within a matter of hours of each other just now.

Reading this thread is like reading a suspense novel... you never know what's going to happen next  I just hope everything works out for everyone :D

Going on day 17 of shipping and it still shows "in transit arriving late" . Google shows "Waiting to receive old phone". Is this the technology of 2022?

Foolishly, I didn't take a pic of my tracking/box before sending it, so I'd gotten worried a little after reading this thread last week.

Luckily, a few days ago I got the email saying they received it.. and not long after, I'd get the $400 trade in credit for my Pixel 5.

Good stuff!

I had signed up on USPS tracking for full email updates. After departing Nashville Distribution Center Annex on the morning of 10/27, I an email update every day up through 10/31 saying the same thing: "Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility." Based on many saying they received confirmation from Google of receipt despite it still showing in that last stage, I'm hopeful this can be interpreted to mean that after the last update it was delivered.

Just to show how goofy the USPS shipping tracking is right now, I am expecting a package in the mail sometime soon. Yesterday I received an email from the USPS that it was out for delivery. It was not delivered yesterday. This morning the status is "arrived at the distribution center in St Louis, MO..." and the estimated delivery for me is Friday (I am in TN). Everything was fine with package tracking for me for most of 2022, then these weird issues starting happening in September.

Mine still in limbo since October 26 , USPS has to be the worse for trade-in delivery

So they send the phone using fedex...but the mailing the box back is USPS?

the ghetto.

Google was the party selling the phones, and used FedEx. It's a third party company accepting and processing the trade-ins, acting as an agent on behalf of Google.

Exactly. And hopefully Google uses a different sub-contractor for this next year.

While I was a bit worried about this whole return process on account of my pixel 2 getting lost the last time, I received a $300 credit in my CC account today. The whole thing from the day I mailed till today took exactly 2 weeks. Pretty smooth. Hope the rest of you hear word soon and get updates on your returns.
