Go run to the Vzw store and tell them that your phone is bootlooping and that you've factory reset it twice with no luck. They extended their return policy for the holidays until 1/15/12. Get a new device and put a screen protector on it. The protectors for the GN are nice. They are glossy and feels like nothing is there. Some are thick and make the screen dull but the ones that i bought with my accessory bundle are not.
That would be very dishonest and douchey of someone to do. Remember, when you return and/or exchange a device, somebody somewhere gets penalized for it. Whether it be the sales reps at the store who are trying to make their monthly numbers and keep returns to a minimum, or further along when somebody else gets that device as a "refurbished" device only to find the screen has been scratched because the factory only attempted to fix the "bootlooping" lie that was told.
Now if your device is hardware defective, that's one thing. But why should you punish someone else for your shortsightedness? It's your fault and your lack of responsibility for protecting your own belongings. I used to work retail and I gotta tell you, I hated people that would do that .
