How can I restore the Gallery system app to my Samsung Galaxy S5?

Yes I've owned it since new. What makes you say it's this one and not this one?

If I look at the PDA, the number I got above LMY47X.G800FXXU1BPB2, the last part matches the PDA of the 2nd one. So why do you think it's the first one? Unless I'm missing something / misunderstanding something about that number???

The build, G800FXXU1BPB2 is an older build, 17th Feb. 2016, for the G800F model for Slovakia and should not be showing as thus if you have flashed the firmware in post #18. That build is the G800FXXU1BPC4 of the 29th March 2016.

Edit: you know, I realized I flashed the wrong one :P
I flashed the old one because I didn't know which one to pick at the time so that one made more sense.
I'll reflash my phone to the one you mentioned. Thank you for clearing that up. Thank you for helping me so much. :)

Edit2: Well now I'm confused. The firmware I downloaded and installed seems to have been the other one but using Phone Info reveals that I have the latest build (the one you mentioned).
I wonder if the update my phone installed a few minutes after flashing the firmware was the latest build.

There have been no further updates since G800FXXU1BPC4 so I do not know what you received unless you flashed the old build, PB2, instead of PC4. Typically but not solely, problems can occur with hidden.img if your phone's .PIT files were changed or corrupted by changing the .PIT file either deliberately or with a custom ROM. However, you appear to be up and running on the correct firmware for your phone's Product Code as demonstrated by your recent update. :)

So either the company I purchased the phone from flashed a different ROM on it or this is not the right ROM. I identified the "T" and it is from T-Mobile. So the boot screen and shutdown screen are T-Mobile screens which weren't there when I got my phone.

It is quite possible that in you rooting and ROM flashing, that you have altered the Product code inadvertently. It is obviously now the correct code for updates as you have received an OTA update already. However, since you did not make a note of your original code prior to rooting and flashing, we shall never know. You could flash the other 2 Slovenian firmwares and see if either of those match your memory of your original firmware. If so, you can change your Product/CSC code using the Phone Info app mentioned in post #16, above.
