I recently took my screen protector off after having it since launch day. I immediately noticed how much more crisp the screen was and liked the smooth glass feel of the screen. I know the D2 has gorilla glass which is supposed to have superb scratch resistance. I've read that people argue that there is a difference between scratch resistant and scratch proof and gorilla glass is not scratch proof. People still use screen protectors (better safe than sorry) others have full confidence in gorilla glass. Others have banged there phones hundreds of times with not a dent or mark while others have claimed to have scratches on their screen.

I'm curious, how many people use screen protectors? and what kind do you recommend?

How many don't use screen protectors? and is your screen still as clean as day one and how long have you had it with out one? or do you have any dents, marks or scratches?

ghost armor over my entire evo not a scratch or ding. ghost armor is the best imo. i hate invisible shield...

i don't use a screen protector, but all that dust got under my screen. and its annoying as crap. i think i'm gonna do an ifixit style teardown to do a proper cleaning.

Interesting... How long have you had it? Has it started peeling or anything? Can someone tell that your evo is wrapped up when they hold it?

What kind of phone do you have? Dust under the screen was a problem when I had my Hero. I hated it. I used to take it Sprint monthly to have them clean it. But I don't have any of those issues with the Droix and the D2G.

No screen protector here on my galaxy s 4g. I like the crisp clean look of the bare screen. I just try to remember to be careful with my earrings when im talking on the phone.

Some people freak over the possibility of a scratch. I am careful to put my phone "solo" in my front pocket with the screen facing my leg and have never had a scratch. My eye glasses cost $ 800 and they don't have scratch protectors either. I do admit that think about it when I hear the screen hit that rivit on my blue jean pocket each time.

It would be funny if you did have screen protectors on your glasses. Do they make those?

I just broke down and got a screen protector for my new EVO. I got the Zagg Invisible Shield. It is working great so far.

Good idea as everything I've read said the EVO doesn't have gorilla glass. If it did I'd say it's pointless.

This is the first time I have used a screen protector and liked it. After the Zagg Invisible Shield cured, it was great. I can tell that its on but it doesn't wash out the screen at all. And I feel a lot more comfortable knowing my screen is protected

I dont use screen protectors, but I do use a belt side holster and a Seido hard case. The D2G is kinda big for jean pockets, and with the side holster I dont worry about other pocket items causing damage.

Love my zagg. Someone just commented on my installation videos saying why waste time and money on a device that is obsolete in a year.

I have the stock vzw screen protector on my d2 cause it spends a good amount of time in my computer bag.

I use one on my D2. I just replaced it because I got a MAJOR scratch on the protector. I have to think this would have messed with the screen big time, if I had not had the protector on it.

Not likely being the screen is made of hard tempered Gorilla Glass and the screen protector is made of a thin film of soft pliable plastic. Just sayin'

I like the screen protector for 2 reasons:

1. It's easier to swipe through the OS without having my finger get stuck on the glass and opening up an app, or setting, or whatever I get stuck on.

2. My screen is protected from scratches. Unfortunately, I can't always put my D2 in its own pocket.

Yeah, the screen is dulled a bit. Mainly because I use the anti-glare protector, but my 2 reasons outweigh that, in my opinion. And yes, I used my first post to post about screen protectors.
