[HOW-TO] Download/Install Honeycomb to Nook Color (SD card)

I believe this was answered in a previous question but I am fairly new to Nook and Android so please excuse my lack of understanding. I guess what I am hearing is that you can have a non-jail break (broke) Nook color and still be able to run Honeycomb off of an SD card? My wife has the Nook and I want the Honeycomb, she will not let me entertain the thought of jailbreaking it because she actually likes it for exactly what it is. If I can pop an SD card in and use it as another device and take the card out when she wants her B&N fix.... that would be a wonderous thing.

That's exactly how I am using this. I read Nook books all the time but I just found this thread today and gave the SD image a try so I can play with Honeycomb. When I got done I simply powered down, removed the SD image, and rebooted the Nook to return to my Nook reader exactly as it was before playing with Honeycomb. Thanks to all for this amazing capability. If the executives at B&N are reading this I hope they embrace this capability instead of running away from it like some corporations might.

Got it loaded up, looks like a little shout-out on the lockscreen, most of the updates seem minor?? Got the market up and running again, gonna check out and see if the OC still works

Edit - 1.1Ghz or 1.0Ghz do not seem to be working, gets to lockscreen but the touchscreen isn't registering anything...going to go back down to stock

I finally got this working but now have a new problem (which may not be a problem?)

I don't see a LOT of apps in the market place, are you supposed to use the same method from froyo tips to unlock them? (use root explorer etc)?

Or is this simply because it is HC and the apps aren't showing yet

Thanks in advance

Also, I have a 16gb card in there, why is the storage space only showing 1.25gb free on the SD card?

Tried to do partition but it doesn't seem to show up there

nook app?

So is the nook app working in the new version? I love Honeycomb but I'd like to be able to leave the card in and be able to read my books...

I hope this question isn't too stupid... Regarding the steps above:

3. Place the files in your adb tools folder (or platform-tools on the newer version - wherever adb.exe is)

4. Open a command prompt in that folder, and issue the following commands

How do I change the file location and open a command prompt? I got Honeycomb booted on my NC then used the browser on it to visit this page and download the market and google apps files but I don't see any way to move them to a different directory and run the commands.

The instructions really do need clarifications and additional instructions.

Those 2 files are supposed to be downloaded and installed to your PC not your Nook. And SDK Tools and Java are to be installed before these 2 files.

This is where I'm stuck too.

I've attached a .doc with some copy/paste of this thread of the ones I thought may help me figure it out. Maybe it'll help you.

Is it just me or does the new version (3.0) seem very slow and unresponsive to others?

Where are adb and platform folders?

Can't find where the adb or platform folder are on my sd card.
Should I just create them? I need to access the Android Market for my Honeycomb Nook Color.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I have no clue how to install the apk for the android market, cant find the folders to put it in and execute terminal commands.
could you just copy and paste into this text or email me the doc please.

you need the android skd from developer.android.com
once you have it all setup you put the market files in "tools" in your android sdk directory on your pc. follow the instructions in the first post to push it over.

do i put both the files in the tools folder just like that
and how do you open terminal within a folder?
