Awesome! Thanks for the quick reply.
Now that I'm thinking about it, I pay Sprint an extra $7/month for TEP. Now that I've deleted these apps, should I cancel TEP? Or is there an easy way to reverse these changes if need be?
Now that I think about what I just said, I feel like an idiot. I backed up all these apps before I deleted them, so I could just restore them, then uninstall Z4 and Titanium. Sorry about the stupid question, haha.
What about Latitude? Is that a safe uninstall?
I would LOVE to do this...
Before I do try, I have a Q after posting my list of APPS I want removed...
MP3Amazon
Blockbuster
Footprints
Kindle
Friendstream
Nascar
Nova
Peep
Qik
Quickoffice
SPRINT= Navigator, Football, and Zone
Stocks
GTalk
Youtube
Teeter
My Question is simple, if I REMOVE these APPS instead of 'Block' them, don't I GAIN usable MB space in my phone??? doesn't it free up any MB
So REMOVING with Titanium did NOT gain space???
... using Rootexplorer for the rest of my removals...
Accept I don't know how to use RE for my removals... where do I find the app as a whole to remove it?
WOW, I just love not seeing them popping up or getting in the way anymore...IT'S AWESOME!!!
Quick question. If I use the temporary root and buy the full version of Titanium Pro then do a full backup. Will I be able to do a factory reset, reinstall z4root and Titanium Pro and then be able to put my phone back to the exact way it was before the reset?
I remember how important that was with my old Palm Treo's. I would like to find a simple way to do that with my EVO.
Funny thing is I have the technical skills to root the phone but I don't have the time to keep up with all the reading that is required to reflash roms when updates come out. I took a job promotion that just takes too much of my free time.
This is great.. Can I install apps that requiere superuser and use them? Like Teathering, etc?
@igotsanevo4G,
I have an Evo4G -HBOOT-2.10.0001. I downloaded and installed Z4Root (v.1.3) and Titanium Backup. I did a temporary root with Z4 and at the end of the process it said that I had temporary root. Looking into the "App" drawer I saw that there was a "Su" app installed. I subsequently opened Titanium Backup (free version) and it warned that the device was not rooted.
I have rebooted, uninstalled and reinstalled Z4Root and got the same result. Can you please advise?
Thanks
