Gunnermike53 is the man
a BIG OL' shout out to the Gunner - i think i bricked my phone over the weekend (i was so psyched!) and then i slapped it upside the head, showed it who's boss, and did the voodoo tap dance all up in it and now im sporting EXT4 baby! Not that proprietary bullpucky malarkey horseshat gobblegook!! EFF THAT!
at least i hoped i bricked it. i decided there should be no reason why i have to go back to DL09 or whatever just to convert the filesystem (aka lagfix), so i just flashed the old red cwm and then flashed the voodoo sc rom, then did the lagfix. it didnt work.
upon rebootion, the phone was stuck on the evil corporate SAMSUNG logo. so that means it was bricked, right? a little maybe? please?
so then i got up in my phone's face, reflashed Old Red, flashed the voodoo Rom again, then tried the file system conversion (aka lagfix) and whaddyaknow: got some sweet-talking robot beotch talkin to me. BOOYA!
GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY!
In my mind, even more important than the theoretical performance/design efficiency difference (well, ok, maybe not more but AS important...uh, just about), is the PRINCIPLE of the thing.
RFS=proprietary=APPLE
(yeah, i went there. i said it.)
