HTC battery thread

things like this makes me miss my blackberry. Why should I have to spend all that extra cash and make my phone bigger to have go thru a whole day? Seriously HTC needs to step up

Drain it completely about 2-3 times. If you're not using and app, hit the back arrow until you back out of it. Some apps, like the dolphin browser, long press the. back arrow and it will give you an exit menu.

See, I don't get this. You got the Eris and more than not you knew the battery life was not that great. If you didn't know before you purchased, you most certainly knew during your 30 day trial period or by reading forums such as this.

You can spend the $30 a month for the data, so whats the big deal buying an extended battery for $50? The seidio 1750 does not make your phone bigger and it gives you an extra 30-35% more battery life.

You miss your Blackberry because of better battery life? Now that's some funny schitt.

Hi I am new here>

I just received the 1750 Seido battery a few days ago and it fits my Eris with no gaps at all. It fits just like it did with the stock battery.

After a few charges and dis-charges I have noticed a nice bump in battery life.

No real way to quantify how many more hours you will get out of the Seido battery because of different usages....but I can say this: my phone would last 1 day with stock battery starting at 9AM (sending 20-30 texts, 4-5 emails, about 1 hour on phone, download an app or 2 and toy with them) down to 0% by 9PM. With the new battery I can do this in one day and then have 30-35% left.

That case back for the 3500 battery looks soo big in the Seido online pic I'd hate to mess up a huge reason I bought the eris....form factor, but that's just me.

I do like my 1750 battery. I was doing ok with the stock 1300 but often I would see it at critical level by the end of day. With the 1750 it's nice to not see the level below half. Gives me a bit more confidence in case I get stuck out somewhere.

Innocell 3500mAh Extended Life Battery

Did the new 3500 battery. I've had the phone on, mobile network and gps on and just generally doing stuff (- email, surfing, calls, installing and uninstalling aps, listening to tunes) and the charge has lasted for 2 days now. I have had the screen left on with Screebl Lite and the brightness on high for the last 3 hours. The charge has lasted for two days now and I still have 25% of my battery charge left.

So. I'm liking it- now my only question is- does anyone know of a case that my now "thicker" phone will fit in?

what kind of battery life are you guys getting? I swear, after the Jan 11th update, mine has gone to crap. I used to get about a day and a half of pretty heavy use out of it. Now, I'm lucky if it makes it to dinner time.

For some reason mine lasts longer if i don't charge it all the way (like up to %95) I did this once because i had to leave and took my phone off the charger and i went about my day with continuous use i was at 60% at the end of the day...

I had the same problems with my battery, I took it back and the tech told me to turn off the mobile net while not in use. The phone uses a lot of battery life "processing" the net. It's lasted pretty long since then.

You can make a toggle switch added to homescreen to toggle on and off the mobile network. Will definitely save some battery. Also the seidio batteries have been getting great reviews.

I could deal with a thicker phone easily enough, but that thing is expensive! 2 days on a charge would be nice though, i'm getting half a day now :/

I get 2 days with my Seido 1750 battery. The longer I have used it ( about 1 week now) it is really giving me great results!

My daily usage is about 1 1/2 hour on phone throughout the day, 30-40 text msgs through handcent, 30 min on browser, 5-8 emails a day, weather checking 2-3 times.

I think my phone just has a problem it takes about 4 and a half hours to charge and I'm down to about 70% after an hour of usage

kill the facebook login, Mine was draining 10% in less than one hour, I logged out of all the "Settings --> Social networks" and after almost 3 hours am still @ 98%.
