This will be my first Android phone. I've had iPhones for the past four years, and no so smart phones before that.
I'm in the same boat. I ordered the 32GB Aluminium. I'm pretty stoked, to tell the truth.

When you guys say the temporary/ pending charge get dropped after a few days, is that bank specific? I order on Oct. 1st and the temp charge is still there. I have Wells Fargo.

Some banks will hold your funds in 'limbo' longer to collect interest before crediting it back to you. The company charging you doesn't have your funds, you don't have your funds, but your bank has your funds. Totally dishonest.
But if it's a credit card, it's not your funds, hence the term credit (the ability of a customer to obtain goods or services before payment, based on the trust that payment will be made in the future). I've never understood why people care about pending or temporary credit card charges. They cost you nothing and it's not your money anyways.
umm... alot of people use debit/check cards. those ARE their funds. and before you get on your high horse about why not use credit card, there are people out there, believe it or not, that do not have credit cards.
anyway, i ordered mine on friday, 128 GB black 6p google says nov 10-12. god i hope it's sooner than that because i'm gonna have to send back my moto x pure real soon... guess will have to settle with my zenfone 2 for a few weeks until the 6p comes in.

Yeah, that's what makes me wonder. If they're using a real credit card, why would they be complaining about bouncing checks or a pre-authorization charge? I thought those were only issues when DEBIT/CHECK cards were used. Certainly wasn't an issue for me with my credit card.I get that, and it's a valid concern in that case, but it seems like many people complaining about it here do in fact mention using credit cards.
What I don't get is what are people putting on their phones that need 64 or 128GB? Not judging, just wondering. I have a 32GB Nexus 6 that still has 21GB free and I have a lot of crap on it.
