No removable battery, no secondary display, smallish battery, no sale plus too many trust issues with your bootloops of the past!!
I think the bigger G6 part isn't giving credit to the features the V30 is supposed to have. Yes we're losing some features but for one I think the V30 renders just ooze gorgeous(albeit Samsung-like) design. Also the camera, audio and video features of the V30 are supposed to be absolutely ridiculous for a phone. That's what will set it apart. I happen to love OLED displays as well so that's a win for me. If they choose to keep at least the IR blaster that will be the icing and candles on the cake for me.

The images are leaked but not the specs exactly. We don't know what it has officially. The G6 was good, however didn't meet sales expectations. List what specs/features/marketing campaign/price it needs in order to be successful (don't mention removal battery or IR blaster because it's gone).

Marketing so that a significant amount of people will care.
Label it Samsung
It looks good in the few photos that are out. Looking like a Samsung device is probably good for LG, since that is what the average consumer looks for if they are not into the iPhone,. LG needs to find a way, however, to make the consumer pull the trigger on the V30 over the S8, S8+ or Note 8. A lower price point would help, but the other things that have always seemed like deal breakers for the average person when comparing the devices in the store, are the screen and the UI. Let's face it, Samsung's screens are great and most other devices look poor when compared to them in the store. Also, and this has always been a problem for me, LG's UI is terrible. It always has been and if they slap the same UI on the V30 as they have on the G6, that will be a problem -- for me for sure and possibly for the average buyer comparing the two in the store. Beyond that, the V30 should also offer water/dust resistance and wireless charging like the Samsungs if they want to make the V30 sell. And, yes, they will need to advertise, but the product is going to have to compete on its own for LG to make any progress in cutting into Samsung's sales. Unfortunately for LG, the iPhone 8 may be the device that pulls people away from looking at the V30 or Samsung.
Like TV commercials? Will it help? What do they need in their commercials? I know they have a really nice Instagram and Facebook page. I never saw a LG commercial before, just learned about the V20 through YouTube.
I think I might be done with LG. I'm part of the rugged phones market (Galaxy S Active series, former V10 & V20, any metal phone). However, LG still seems to have the complete package for me so I may come back. But with a sealed back, I now have to choose between several glass or sealed back phones. Phones without headphone jacks are already out of the question so the selection is slimmer. So far, it's going to be either: Unlocked Galaxy S8 Active (extremely durable, 4000mAh battery), OnePlus 5 (dual 21MP camera, metal body), Huawei Mate 9/10 (4000 mAh, metal body). Most likely the Galaxy Active I'll be using in the future.
They need to be clear with their message and targeted to their audience. The V series so far seems to be about serious multimedia consumption and content creation. If that's the theme, we need creative pictures and video.
Show us action scenes being shot with this thing. Show a commerical being shot on a V30. Show us a party with a DJ playing tunes from the V30 plugged into a speaker to show off the DAC.
Show us you've picked the best features of the phone to highlight and why going the LG way do certain things is better than Apple and Samsung.
Otherwise, do another soft launch and kvtech about poor sales numbers in the winter and say "let's build hype for the G7 in Las Vegas next year."
They have commercials but often just trying to look cool without highlighting the brand, model, and features making it superior.Like TV commercials? Will it help?
