LightFlow is crap since their recent update. Unreliable

Light Flow recently came out with an update. The entire interface has been changed. I like it, but in the end the whole point of the software is basically to make the damn light blink when a new text, email, etc. comes in. Well, it doesn't always light up. About a fourth of the time or more, it just doesn't work... Which leaves me not trusting it and constantly turning the screen to my phone on to check for missed calls or emails like I own a stupid iPhone or something.

I even got the paid version, in hopes that it might be better. No go.

Any ideas?

I just use the notification LED the way it's built into stock now. I haven't missed Light Flow too much.

Maybe I have to redo my settings but it hasn't been doing a good job of repeat alerts lately

It used to be reliable as heck but has definitely had something done to it to interrupt that. I have the paid version, too, and based on its reputation, I am sure they will correct it soon. But, yeah, it is a bit disappointing and can be an inconvenience for sure for now. :(

Light flow works great on ICS but since jb is new it's not working fully

did you set it up again or just restore the app and data with titanium?
mine wasn't working at all, but i read somewhere that keeping the data from when it was installed with ICS caused issues.
so i deleted the app data and set it all up again and i have not had any issues really (only issue was where the light wouldn't clear for an app, just changed how it gets cleared)
absolutely LOVE the app.
i know exactly when i have an email i can ignore, or a text i have to see.

I would contact the developer if you haven't done so yet. I had some issues not related to this upgrade and he got right back to me.

i still dont understand why LED control is not built into the OS

i agree...but it is probably because some phones done have multicolored LED notification lights....and it could (and would) confuse the average consumer.

on a side note, my lightflow works perfectly for Gmail and messaging and missed calls...but it seems anything else isn't working (groupMe specifically)

It's having serious issues with Handcent and missed calls on my phone.

I had the same issue. I think it has to do with Handcent. I deleted Handcent, reinstalled, now it works as it should.

This app is still total crap. I emailed the developer almost a week ago with a log file, and I've yet to get any response whatsoever. About ready to delete it

Odd, I'm using 3.0.3 and haven't been having any issues. Then again, I've only got 2 notifications (out of 12) that are set for 3rd party apps.

I uninstalled and installed from scratch. Redid my settings and so far it has been working again.

Or not. Worked for a little bit then stopped. Maybe the next update.
