[LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.6 (8/06/11)

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.5 (7/30/11)

Does anybody else have simply atrocious battery life with this ROM? I haven't done much testing to try and track down the issue, but my phone was just sitting on my desk and it dropped 20% in the last hour. I wasn't even using it.

I've not had any issues... and I don't run battery tests for anybody but myself now... I'm tired of people nit-picking my battery screen shots... when most people don't know what is running on their own device, or how often some apps are updating in the background.

Maybe you do know what is running on your device... I'm not saying this is you specifically.... but I do know my setup... and I'm not going to try to compare my apples to your oranges, or my oranges to your apples if you prefer.

I've got fairly good battery life... not the best I've ever seen on a ROM... and there are plenty of other ROMs out there to choose from.... this is just one of many.

I did at first, but it was just an app messing up. Friendcaster was doing something, I uninstalled and am now at 43% after 14 hours. And fairly heavy use last evening and this morning.

Have read that resetting battery stats can help as it may not be reporting correctly.

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.5 (7/30/11)

When trying to flash the radio it say installation aborted. Any ideas on why, am I doing something wrong? New to this radio stuff and guess I cant seem to figure it out. Thanks in advance.

First, download the file... double check the MD5Sum code to be sure you have a valid radio... then... copy the file to your SD card to the root... rename the file to PG05IMG.zip... then power your device off... boot up in hboot (hold down the volume down button, and while holding that down press and hold the power button for a few seconds until you get a white screen)... then follow the direction on installing this update... after it's done boot up... and rename or delete the PG05IMG.zip file on your SD card.

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.5 (7/30/11)

Thank you. That worked. But I have another slight problem, sometimes when I go to reboot or turn the phone off and back on, it wont turn on and have to do a battery pull. Any digestions? Maybe need a different radio? If so which ones are compatible with this rom? Thanks again.

There are about 4 or 5 different radios... the radio will be for your data connection, not for turning your device on and off... you need to let your device settle when you power it off... and I've found by living with my Bolt when I do power it off and wait I usually have to hold the power button down for 3 or 4 seconds to start it back up, but I've NEVER had to do a battery pull.

Radio's... starting with the original MR2, then MR2.5, the Official MR2, Chingy's Radio (1.46.00.0704w_2, which I currently use), and one called .6275r are basically most of ones I know of right now.

Okay, 2.6. I loved your forefather, 2.4, but your daddy 2.5 was kind of a jerk to me. Let's you and me put all of that behind us and have ourselves a good time, alright?

(For the devs who wander over here from the original release sites, thanks for all of the hard work - you guys have pumped out 4 or 5 different updates this weekend it seems).

Where did the speedtweak.sh go on 2.6? Gps locks too.

I think he switched to the tiamat kernel, so since its not a LeanKernel derivative it won't have speedtweak on it. You can still update the kernel speed and the governor using the liquid settings (there is a section somewhere for overclocking), or you can get setCPU to do it for you.

Either way should work.

This ROM is great! I was looking for a good ROM without Sense and decided on this one yesterday. So far so good and battery life is better than stock (I've only had the phone since Friday so I can only compare battery life to stock lol; I ran Gingeritis for about two hours but didn't like it so can't compare battery life to it). The only problem I've been seeing is that LauncherPro force closes on reboot, but works fine after that.

I'm running 2.4 and my GPS is taking way longer to lock then stock and Google Navigation no longer works. Is this a known issue?

Having issues with this.... cannot sync google contacts, gmail or facebook. Could not pull up already downloaded app from market.... Other than that it ran quite well. Any ideas as to why this is ?

I'm guessing you have rebooted already??? Did you try to go into Settings > Accounts & sync > select the account > Menu > Sync now... did you try that??? And also make sure it's set to sync your contacts and Gmail... and of course do the same thing with Facebook.

just flashed after having Camera issues on Gingeritis3d...looks good so far.
kind of confused as to the "Sense UI" branding, even though it looks AOSP like a CM7 ROM.

but good gosh, this thing loaded up in like 10 seconds from "sign in to Google" to home screen. bare minimum=i like.

Thanks for the confirmation :) it threw me seeing "Sense" in the ROM description on RootzWiki.
i was hardcore "Sense forever!" until recently. after this & CM7, i really don't miss it all that much.

the only real thing that i hate not having from something like DasBamf to this ROM is the Dialer feature which allows you to just type a name using the keypad and it returns relevant Name results & phone numbers that use that sequence of keys. everything else though can be overlooked by just downloading widgets or, for me, GoLauncher.

well, that and the camera quality on this sucks. looks like a-kernel-hunting i must go.
