Nexus sales banned - do I get mine?

I wanted to sign it but it says there is no petition...

good for you, I only own an old ipod touch that never gets used. like you I will vote with my wallet.

I'm starting to feel the same way. I've had an iPod and used iTunes from when they first came on the market. I've had thoughts of getting the new 7" iPad if it comes out in the fall. But more and more I am losing any respect I had for them, and I don't use/need my iPod anymore...my 3 year old uses it now. And I plan on getting the Nexus 7 Tablet now. But I'm sure Apple will sue over owning the technology behind a less-than-10-inch-tablet that does stuff.

The truth here, to me, is that whoever handed out the patents to Apple for the vague technology they claim is theirs and theirs alone are the ones who are at fault here as much or more than anyone. And the judge who was paid swayed by Apple, and the lawyers who file the claims, they all take part of the blame here. This is getting ri-gosh-darn-diculous!!

Congrats to everyone getting their devices, you are no doubt gonna love them.

Well now that most of us that have ordered the phone and have it or will be getting it tomorrow. I ask what kind of accessories will you be buying? I want to get a screen protector and a side holster case. Still undecided on if I'm going to rock it naked or case it up.

Bought my wife the otterbox defender case.. It was 50$, but I have never seen a more ridiculously protective case in my life. Considering my wife's clumsiness, well worth the $ imo

Why go naked. If you drop the phone it will have some damage. All the people that i know that broke their phone screens went naked.

Sometimes phones just feel better in hand without a case. But I should learn from my past because my iPhone 4 has a cracked screen from it being dropped. It did have a case but the case was cheap and came apart. Only question is which one? Decisions...decisions

Does anyone feel, like me, that this has finally turned fever pitch? How in the heck did actual judges manage to get the Nexus banned through patent violation? The Nexus has nearly no similarities with the Iphone, except for having app drawers and a notification bar that Apple obviously copied from a number of manufacturers. There are similar apps between them like the phone app, yeah, you know where this is going.

Furthermore, there is no sign that Samsung copied from Apple, because the software is all Google code... How the heck was Google not sued but Samsung was?

I own an GN currently and I couldn't be more pleased with my cruzerlite case. Great looking also.

I ordered this case: Amazon.com: Incipio SA-204 Samsung Galaxy Nexus SILICRYLIC Hard Shell Case with Silicone Core - 1 Pack - Retail Packaging - Black/Black: Cell Phones & Accessories

Saw it here on Android Central, but Amazon is way cheaper. It looks the best out of all I've seen, and has the best reviews.

I was looking for something well protected, but not too bulky like an otterbox. I like the two-piece assembly with the soft-core. I have a hard shell only on my Captivate and it scratches the phone up underneath.

No other accessories required. It comes with a screen protector, but I doubt I'll even use it. It has that scratch resistant Gorilla Glass-ish face that passes a key test.

Amazon.com: Black - Cruzer Lite Androidified A2 TPU Case - For Samsung Galaxy Nexus (SCH-i515 & GT-i9250): Electronics

I think I will just go with a simple case like this. Only thing is I kinda prefer a hard case instead of a soft gel.

In my experience a soft gel case enclosed in a hard case is best. Won't scratch the phone.

this......I had one like that for the Inspire......thing is I really don't like to have any case but the times I have balked at this I dropped the phone and cursed myself for not getting one.

I am getting a case for mine. I found a nice looking case from zenus, its leather and looks pretty slim too. Might get a decal for when I rock it out of the case :)

A friend of mine has this exact case. It's not bad, but not exactly what I wanted.

It's a strange material - it's soft enough to stretch around the phone, but rigid enough to be "hard" plastic. I think you'll be happy with it, as it's truly more on the hard shell side.

Another reason I didn't get it is I don't care for the Android logo on the back. But to each his own!

I already have a extra screen protector and four cases from having the Gnex previously so, I got what I need. I also have the desktop dock and I'm glad I didn't sell it.

I think its available without the engraved android if you don't like it.

That is good to know. When I had my blackberry 9900/30 I had a case like that. Gel on the sides and hard plastic on the back. Yeah I don't mind the Android logo really. Just looking forward to the end of the day when my Nexus gets here!!!

Can this day go any slower? I am sitting here at work waiting for patients and can literally hear the clock ticking .....it's driving me nuts :p

I am pretty sure I have all the angles covered for the UPS guy....hung a sign on the door with my sig, have niece at the house, she is staying there for the summer......have alerted tenant on first floor to watch out........

In the past my sig on sign asking driver to leave package inside door has worked, usually they take it up to the third floor apartment too.

But, having said that, for whatever reason(busy I'm sure) the UPS truck usually rolls by after I get home.

Out for delivery since 1am baby!! I had mines sent to my job so I dont have to sit and wait all day like you guys!!! UPS usually gets here within the next hour!!
