[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

Installed SC 2.4 and everything is working well until today, turned on the clock on my Fascinate and it completely locked up. This has happened twice. Is this happening to anyone else or how can i fix it?

sorry for the newb questions, but I'm coming from a Droid X and rooting and roming on the X is completely different than the Fascinate. But, my question is if I run this process as described in the OP:

1) will this also root my device which is currently on 2.1? And of course put me on 2.2 leak, etc?

2) if I want the official 2.2 from verizon can I flash back?

There is alot of information here about rooting etc, but it seems as though this process may do that for me. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!

The rom is pre-rooted, so when you flash it, you will have root. And there are odin images to return you back to stock to where you can do an OTA update but I'm sure that the official update will be rooted and posted shortly after it's pushed. The only reason to really go back to stock is if you're having issues or need to do a warranty replacement

thanks PJ! yea, I just wanted to make sure I can flash back, if needed, to get the official in case there are new bug fixes etc. with the X, you always needed to flash back to stock in order to get official releases. so, in my case the OP sounds like the first place to go if you want root, rom, clockwork if coming from 2.1 which is awesome!

I checked the thread over at xda and they are not posting the build, only sending it to you in a pm if you are a known developer

Lets hope it fixes the bluetooth samsung broke with EB01 and lets also hope they bring back battery life prior to froyo.

hhmmm my bluetooth works great but I wouldnt mind some better battery life, actually battery life is not much of an issue either but I swear the phone isnt reading the battery right even after wiping stats

I really want to perform this upgrade but I don't want everything to be wiped. Is there any way around this? And if not, can someone suggest to me an efficient way to back up everything I have on my phone?

Use the EB01SC24x_DXC.tar file not wiping could cause force close loops but if you are willing to accept that then go for it...i suggest you back up your contacts to gmail and maybe root and use titanium back up or dont root and purchase my backup pro

updated to 2.4 this weekend from 2.1. 2.4 gps wont lock on but I love the leak and thanks to everyone.

First of all..>>
I would like to give a great big "Hell Yea!!" to all of you that have worked so hard putting all of this together...
That also goes for you guys that are taking so much time out of your days explaining things, and helping out all the
less experienced folk (myself included) here as well!

secondly... :D
One question....
Is there a definitive fix for the battery run-time problem that many of us are dealing with? ..
I've been swimming around in a virtual ocean of post and info for a couple of
days now and haven't come across anything solid...
(I may have missed it.. OR.. there is yet to be a solid fix yet...)

Again.... THANX!

Geo-tagging pictures in EB01 Stock Froyo!

Not sure if this has been brought up at all - I'm pretty sure I've read through every post on this thread at least once - but I just noticed that after loading EB01 Stock Froyo about 2 weeks ago, all of the pictures I take are geo-tagged. It even lists a few of the towns I've taken pictures at in the gallery (under the 'Camera' folder)!

Now, the locations are not very accurate since I don't keep the GPS on unless I need it, but I have figured out that with 'Google Location Services' turned on, it geo-tags the pics. <--It never did that before loading EB01, and I always had GLS running. When I turn GLS off, the geo-tagging simply reports "unknown" in the picture details.

Anyone else notice this? Is there a way to have GLS turned on, but disable geo-tagging? GLS itself is handy when searching for places near my location, but I just don't want my pics tagged, and I'd rather not have to turn it on and off depending on what I'm doing at the moment.
