[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

I've been exploring my phone since I finished flashing Superclean 2.1 EB01 from the OP. I had a quick question (if this is the wrong thread for it please let me know and I'll find the right one). When I long press the power button there are three options I'm not sure about... more so I'm leery of pressing :) Can anyone advise me what these are pertaining to? I'm guessing it's for CMW but I'm new and am not sure.
~Right under "Power Off"...

~Reboot
~Recovery
~Download

Can someone tell me the function (I realize they may be 'obvious' by the names), I'm trying to figure out if this is how i get into CWM or if its something else.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

Super excited about this....I just rooted my phone last week and renamed some of the bloatware....thats it. im curently running DL09. I have TB and everything is backed up. I have odin on my computer. Im going to download the SC version.

my question, it says to download the update.zip do I download it to my computer and then put it on my phone like putting pics on a flash drive? or save it to my sd card directly? not sure if that can even be done lol.

you guys are so awesome! I love AC :)

reboot is exactly what it says, press that and your phone will turn off, then turn itself back on.

recovery is an easy one click method to get into cwm, it will take you to blue cwm, and you just apply sdcard:update.zip to get into red cwm.

don't know what the download button does. Haven't had a chance to play with that yet.

Does the screenshot (return button + power button) work on this build? Only the leaked DL30 has it but not the version 1.0 of superclean that I have, does

Awesome, thanks for the quick and informative response! Yeah, the icon next to download looks the same as the icon that appeared when I was using Oden.

you can download the update.zip directly to your sd card. Hit the menu key on the lower left of your phone then go into settings=>applications=>development and make sure there is a check mark in usb debugging. plug your phone into your computer via usb cable, pull the notification bar down and click connect usb. you will see a green lloyd with his left arm being a usb cable. click the grey box that says connct usb storage. now you can download zip files of roms and themes directly to your sd card

TB can't find it.

Ok so I just got SC EB01....AWESOME!

I can't get the audible sound off when I am typing, eventhough I have it clicked to off. any thoughts?

I have redownloaded TB pro.....its not in my apps drawer. It says its in stalled and purchased..... I can't do anything with out that! I mean I could, but that would consist of me redownloading everything! please help!

Ive tried pulling the battery and restarting...... nada!

TB pro is just the key. You have to download the free titanium backup. the free version will recognize you purchased pro

I can't begin to thank you guys enough. For the longest time, well, 2 months, I thought our phones were just that....what it is out of the box. thanks for taking the time to explain things to us newbies. I'm hoping the more I learn and read here, I will be able to pay it forward, just like you all.

thanks again!

sigh.....I thought I was in the clear......its been restoring for a few min now...but nothing is happening.....its still on 0%

Anyone else experiencing a Contacts FC when trying to assign a custom ringtone to a contact on SC EB01? I select my contact > edit > Ringtone. From ringtone the three options are Default, Sound, Phone ringtone. I select Sound. I then get one short vibrate, a pause, then three rapid vibs. A FC window pops up that says "the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly." Force Close.

I checked the sound file and it plays just fine in the music player.

Any thoughts/suggestions on how to fix?

Thanks:)

try this,,,, from the titanium main screen at the bottom, it says "Problems"
click that and update busy box , then try again

I just bought a fascinate (craigslist). Questions:
1. Can I root the thing before I activate it?
2. Can someone offer a link to a "how to root your fascinate for the complete idiot!" type thing?
3. Is there some type of installer program that I need? (is Odin one of them?...and is it good?)

I'll need a step by step type guide. I'm somewhat tech savy, but this android business is totally new to me.

Thanks
Kelton

tried that.....twice. I did notice that everytime I interrupt the process (mind you, it still says 0%) there is one less file....started with 107.....now I have 105

The way I have been assigning ring tones to individual contacts is use one of the ringtone apps, download the ringtones I wanted, then when you choose ringtone for that contact, you choose phone ringtone and all of the standard ringtones plus the ones you downloaded will be there and just choose which one you want to assign

hey con, does putney need to have unknown sources checked under applications in order for the restore to work? I had the same problem he did once and when I checked that box the restore worked?
