[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

EB01DB_DXC.tar this is debloated not super clean you want to download

EB01SC23_DXC.tar

i compressed it with winrar
Download WINRAR

then you will be able to see the downloaded file as EB01SC23_DXC.tar.rar then right click on it and select extract here

Thank you I'll give it a try. I could only use the debloated one is what I was trying to say.

Don't do that, you can go to jail for that! Anyway on the first red cwm screen the 6th option is backup and restore. Click on that and you only have three options
So dont worry about the nandroid enable/disable thing in the advanced menu of the CW red?

I have not touched that, so I don't know what it does, and everything is fine with my phone

EDIT - Are you referring to enable nandroid progress and disable nanodroid progress? If so I don't know, but to me the wording sounds like it is referring to whether or not you can see the white text you see scrolling on the screen while the phone is in the process of doing a nandroid backup.

Newb here

Hi all, newbie here.

1st - much thanks to DroidXcon and Adrenalyne for their work on getting Froyo out to the forum and making it as easy as possible to update our phones. I went from nothing on my PC to using Odin to having the phone operational in under 15 minutes thanks to this forum (I'm running SC 2.1).

Now, my issue:
WiFi is not reliable.

I have WPA2 turned on for my home network. I was able to log on once, immediately after entering my password on the phone. After that - nothing. The phone couldn't even detect my network. I turned WPA2 off, changed the setting on the phone and was able to connect again. I turned WPA2 back on, and entered the password on the phone and was able to log on. After turning WiFi off and on, the phone couldn't detect the network anymore. Hopefully someone will find this info useful for troubleshooting.

I think I'll be trying to flash the newer SC versions, as well as the DB and the bloated, to see if there's any difference.

Update:

A little more info re: my WiFi issue: after re-doing the "open network" to "WPA2" steps, I find the phone can connect to my network (again) but can't get any data over the internet. I can see the phone "attached" to the router though, and my computer can access the internet over WiFi. hmmm

Also, I forgot to mention in my 1st post: other than the WiFi issue, I'm loving the SC Froyo! The launcher is much better than stock, and the phone feels so much more responsive. Keep up the good work!

Make sure the security protocol you use for sf wifi matches up with the protocol you have on your router. WPA can only talk to WPA, WEP to WEP, none of the protocols are backward compatable (WPA2 can't talk to WPA and vise versa)

On your PC check control panel > network & internet > manage wireless networks and see what protocol your using. I haven't hooked up to wifi yet with my sf so I'm not 100% sure how to change the security protocol.

EDIT: I just tried this and it seemed to work. Make sure your SSID is correct end you select the appropriate protocol. I experienced this prob a while ago trying to connect my mac to my home network, I selected wep instead of wpa2 and had issues. Also make sure your router is configured to accept your phones mac address. I have mine set to only accept specific devices so I had to as my phone.

Hope this helps.

EB01DB_DXC.tar.md5 is stock but missing verizion preinstalled applications

i don know the differencece between 2.1 and 2.2,,,,but 2.3 has a different lockscreen and little differences like battery icon with numeric percentages stuff like that try out 2.2 and 2.3 then decide which one you like and stick with it for awhile

Ok now if I want to install one of the sc versions do I just dl them and flash them? They are complete? The reason I ask is because the files are so much smaller. Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys for the update. I've been running 2.2 for 3 days or so and having some issues so I'll try 2.3 and see if that helps. If not, I may go back to DL09 or DJ05 for awhile.

Anyone here use the Zedge wallpaper and ringtone app? It force closes for me. All other apps work fine. I am using the Stock EB01 release.

Edit: It force closes if I go to downloads from within the app.

Can anybody confirm or deny that in EB01 you can no longer sync with exchange using the build in email app? I am not interested in using Touchdown and if this is the case it would be a deal braker for me.

Thanks for any info guys.

Mine would sync fine, but I cannot unlock it without a battery pull.

What do you mean you can not unlock without a battery pull? everytime the phone locks you have to pull the battery?

I'm running Super Clean 2.2, and Zedge works perfectly fine for me. No FC's.

Running Super Clean 2.2, I ran into a problem with text messages and Gvoice.

Happening only once in sending a message through gvoice, I didn't get a response. Ex wife, so she could be lying about not getting the message.

The bigger issue is that wife 2.0 isn't getting about half of my text messages. I can see the trail of messages, and the trail seems random on the messages her phone is not getting, or my phone isn't sending correctly. This is done through the message icon for Verizon's app.

Thoughts?

@DroidXcon,

Just curious, does superclean 2.3 include the patch which Adrynalyne mentions in his thread? See below...

Changes since 2.2:

Added LG's TodayBriefing widget and TodayScheduling widget.
Hopefully uncorrupted audio ringtones, etc. (edit: nope still has issues. Plays fine on PC though....)
Screenshot app is back due to popular demand (its only 21kb)
Hid gps crosshairs.
Added SpareParts. Phone runs nicely with animations and transiitons set to fast.
5 Lockscreen ported by sbrissen with acc battery, slightly modified by me to use ChrisDDD's acc battery icons (blue).
Latest market (2.3.2)
Patch for transitions I forgot on accident: http://adrynalyne.us/files/patches/sc_transitions.zip
