[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

That would work, or you could take the easy route and in Adrynalyne's superclean thread he has a patch that will give you the touchwiz launcher, widgets, and apps. Here it is:

http://adrynalyne.us/files/patches/eb01_touchwiz.zip

Just save this to your sd card, reboot into recovery and install this zip file. DroidXcon just tried it and said it worked fine.

So I got 2.2 up and running with no problem whatsoever. I put eb01_touchwiz.zip on the sd card, held the power button, rebooted into recovery, but eb01_touchwiz.zip wasn't listed. Then I rebooted, opened Rom Manager and selected Install ROM from SD, selected eb01_touchwiz.zip, then there was a status bar that got to about 50%, then went to the recovery screen. I rebooted and still don't seem to have touchwiz. Was I supposed to unzip eb01_touchwiz? Am I using the wrong method to install it?

Newbie question. How do I go from Full Stock Froyo Leak+root+Froyo Clockworkmod EB01_DXC.tar to Super Clean version 2.3 - EB01 Froyo leak root+Froyo Clockworkmod. I followed the directions from this thread to get to EB01.
Thanks,

Thanks,

I want to know this too but for just the deodexed version. I just don't want to go through the whole setting up my phone again.

Download 2.3 to your sd card, reboot to recovery, apply sd card.zip, hit home button, now in red cwm, install from sd card, hit power button, confirm, after install is comlete, hit menu button till at main red cwm menu where reboot system now will be highlighted, hit power button and wait for phone to reboot. According to Adrynalyne, no wiping needed prior. Simple.

EDIT -@ willenium - No wiping means won't have to go through setting up phone again, so no worries going to sc 2.3, but you can still just go to debloated/deodexed if you want.

EDIT FURTHER - Oops sorry, Matt. Should have clarified. No need to use full package again to get to superclean 2.3. Just go to this thread and download the 2.3 nonvoodoo to your sd card then follow the instructions above.

Hey mybfflill, when you rebooted into recovery did you hit apply sdcard:update.zip to get into red cwm?

Ok now if I want to install one of the sc versions do I just dl them and flash them? They are complete? The reason I ask is because the files are so much smaller. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can just download sc to your sd card, reboot into recovery, hit volume down button once to highlight apply sd card:update.zip, hit the home soft key. this takes you into red cwm, scroll to install zip from sd card, hit the power button this time to make a choice in red cwm, find the sc zip file, highlight it, hit the power button, confirm. when install is done, hit menu soft key til you are at the main cwm red menu where the first thing at the top of the list is reboot system now, hit the power button and wait for phone to reboot

And these files are so much smaller because they are just the rom. DroidXcon's package you used had the rom, clockwork mod, root, ODIN, everything. Once you have ODIN and clockwork you don't need to load them again.

i compressed it with winrar
Download WINRAR

then you will be able to see the downloaded file as EB01SC23_DXC.tar.rar then right click on it and select extract here

So... as stated above... where would I look for the "How To.." on clockwork..??

At Android Central by searching the forums. All the information is there in the forums. The Administrator, Moderators, and Advisor at AC have spent a lot of time to package instructions and how to's together in one place. You just need to look through the forums and read the titles of the threads. But here is the one for clockwork:

http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...ckworkmod-recovery-return-stock-use-odin.html

And here is a very good thread put together by Chris Kerrigan covering different how to's and instructions. Can't remember if the same Clockwork from above is in there but it's a good read and great source of info anyway.

See the post above,,,although you are correct i could do that and the files would be smaller,,,but i wanted to leave the modem and kernel in for people flashing for the first time.

And bro i just woke up and was reading all the questions and i was wondering how i would get to them all and get ready and go to work , then i saw you jumped on and was relieved lol...thanks great work btw. Im sending you a pm now

got the winrar part and got it downloaded. are the sc versions complete since they are such smaller files? DroidXcon I also got the debloated version dl in its full form last night. Thanks

Anyone here use the Zedge wallpaper and ringtone app? It force closes for me. All other apps work fine. I am using the Stock EB01 release.

Edit: It force closes if I go to downloads from within the app.

I haven't used Zedge at all, found other wallpaper and ringtone apps I like better. Got the into for Metallica's For Whom the Bell Tolls as my default ring tone. :)

Thanks! I will do this when I get back to my office. But another question, does anyone know if the Debloated, deodexed rom has Allshare, My Files, Gallery, Clock, Calendar, music player, video player, voice recorder, and voice search. I actually use these apps. Thanks again to everyone for their hard work!

I'm a big fan of superclean, that's all I've been using since DL09, so I don't know what's in and what's not in the debloat/deodex. If you are using the debloat/deodex, and those apps are not in the app drawer, then no. If you absolutely must have them you have three options: 1) Go with the stock EB01; 2) Extract the apk files from the stock version and place them in your system/app folder, or; 3) Hope someone else has already extracted the apk files and will be kind enough to put them in a post. Also those are pretty common apps so if they are not in the debloated/deodexed I would imagine Adrynalyne may have just replaced them with versions he prefers. Don't know for sure though.

Alright, then does the Superclean version have these apps or replacements for them? And if I wanted to extract them, will I just have to use Root Explorer or is there a free file explorer that will allow me to get into the system/app folder?

I use the debloated and love it, has all the apps you mentioned, what its missing is mostly the vzw nonsense, vznav, tones etc also has thinkfree and write to go if you use, for me the superclean was just too stripped down. Its all preference I guess
