[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

ok when you get to blue recovery select apply sdcard:update.zip by hitting the home button
this will lead you into red clockwork recovery , in red clockwork you use the power button to select and use the search button as the back button
ok i did the sdcard update hit home button and went to a white triangle w yellow explanation mark in the middle w a green droid guy..nothing else..been like this for a few now..take battery out and try again?
did you try to flash rom manager before at some point like i said not to do lol?
i loaded rom manager but deleted it when u said it was no good..i didnt do anything w it..no permission fixes no back up nothing
please delete, update.zip from your download folder on your computer ,,and delete update.zip on your sd card...redownload and place it on your sd card and try again
alright im red now..its ppl like me that make u regret getting this deep in im sure..ty so much..so other than radio updates i assume i can flash any rom in recovery now? and any theme that fits my rom ex: eb01 themes sld work in therory w what i currently have am i understanding this correctly?
yeah as long as its compatible with EB01 you can flash it, but i would keep up with that other thread i gave you some people get hang ups with certain themes so always do your home work

One more basic question. I think I'm in a catch 22. You say to back up everything first, so I downloaded titanium to backup my phone, but it tells me I must be rooted first.
I was going to follow your 1st thread and load EB01, which should also root the phone, correct? But if I do this, then there is nothing to back up cause I would have lost it in the upgrade to EB01, correct?
I know these are simplistic questions. I've been reading for 168 pages and am still nervous as hell.

because flashing this is not a root method, its not a one click root type deal....it is completely over writing the data on your phone and upgrading you to froyo, with the added bonus of being rooted already
yes thats fine, any build is fine as it over writes everything on your phone.. the only time its a problem is if you come from 2.1 and you dont use the data wipe versions
Geotagging on after 2.2
Just upgraded both the wifes and my phone and have come to find geo tagging is active on the camera and can't be shut off. This is a big problem since we use wifi at home it gives our exact address on every picture we take. Any info would be great. Love being on 2.2 finally, phone works how it was always meant to, but need to figure out how to shut this off so I dont have to roll our phones back to 2.1. We both use our GPS alot so prefer to do this without shutting it off.
