If it takes longer for them to get this update out because they are adding every single fix possible they can, then I am okay with waiting. If it fixes my 3G,4G,and ESP Wifi I will be sooo happy. Also fixing the little things such as the 160 text character limit when it says in the freaking manual it will auto split the messages if you go past 160! Terrible Samsung terrible!

My source (My phone) says there is no update. And if there way. It be announced. Officially. On the Sprint site.

You ever call up the store and ask them if they had something in stock. And they said they had it. But when you got there. They didn't? Or someone told you one thing you could do over the phone and you drove all the way there and the manager told you no?

Sprint people are no different. I told the guy on launch. Hey there is already an update for this phone right? He's like no. He turns it on. Update in progress. HE goes. o. I guess there way.

I'm sorry. I hate when people say the guy at Sprint told me, lol.

I'd rather have a good update then a fast one, I really hope it's not pre(-) users getting all hurt about an update not happening, if so that is a real "fool me once" situation...

Agreed on a good update. The phone works excellent now. The update will just improve some minor things. unfortunately some people have some big issues with some of those minor things. My 3g performs as always on Sprint. My 4g does not. If I were in a 4g area I'd probably be more apt to complaining right now.

However, I've dealt with Epic updates... so the fact that the OS itself works.... and my 3g. I'm extremely happy with this phone, lol.

No one start an argument with me about how just cause it doesn't effect you it effects me. . Go be a martyr in the Epic forums. MUAHAHAHA! BURN!

As it has been countless times before, we'll know an update will be rolling for sure when officially announced by Sprint, Google or Samsung... not because of rumors or secret sources. And when is actually rolling, every major tech blog will publish it, well before anonymous Sprint employees learn about it.

And it is usually sources that are wrong because information is taken the wrong way, grabbed from a wrong source themselves. Or the information is changed before intended release of set info. Look at what happened with this update. There was no official announcment for the release and now we are all bummed because it did not happen.

Regardless of how "credible" your sources are, you should take leaked information they give you with a grain of salt. Expect the worst, but hope for the best.
