I don't think Android's market share is what it is because of higher-end iOS competitors...but because of lower end devices that many here would not be caught dead with. One thing Android has that Apple doesn't are those low-end devices that likely make up the vast majority of Android's world-wide market share. I love the Chinese and many of their products but I don't want one of their low-end knock-offs that is slow, laggy, and lacking in the quality that we take for granted in higher-end devices. Again, it is my perspective that those lower end devices is what really drives the Android market share. That is notable because I think the story would be different if only the mid-to-high-end Android devices were being compared to Apple's offerings.The market place continues to vote that is why iOS market share is down year to year. Only 15.4% for Apple and 80.7% for Android.
I may be very mistaken though.
