paying 100 bucks extra cost?

At a Verizon store. Guy says I qualify for 200 off with S5 trade.

Then says out of pocket is 100 bucks plus taxes....monthly fee is 23.12 which is the 550 price.

That extra payment of 100 bucks seems weird. Am I wrong?

It is a down payment. You can put as much down as you like. But in this case, you are only getting $100 trade in credit for the s5

That's the unlocked version isn't it? That would work fine in AT&T won't it? Apparently that sale is still on. It doesn't appear to be for the 256gb models.
