Nine new pictures taken in Asheville, North Carolina

First nine in this gallery:
Samsung Galaxy S3 Photo Gallery by Isabel Cutler at pbase.com

Some processed with Adobe Camera Raw, some with Topaz Adjust.

Most fixes necessary were to tone down overexposed highlights.

I am loving this camera and thinking I don't really need to take a digicam with me most of the time.

It would have been nice if the zoom were optical rather than digital, because the zoom makes images look too pixelated.

Here's a video sample in bright AZ sunlight from 8-9:30 AM. I'm not too happy how choppy it looks even at 30fps

What do you mean by choppy?

Are you referring, maybe, to the resultings of your panning or moving the camera around?

I didn't find it choppy at all.

It could be from panning actually, I thought the fps was off but since it's not consistent then panning makes sense. I should have had my gf turn on the anti shake. I'll have to compare that once I turn it on.
I was impressed how it handled the colors and brightness. With my 2 HTC phones my match videos looked all washed out.

Yup...that's what I thought.

Lightweight cameras are very hard to pan with, unless they have some sort of stabilization, like a tripod - in camera stabilization can only help a little bit.

If you seriously want to smooth out the action take the video into an editing program and edit out the "traveling" footage.

I think it looked great!

I hope you are as happy with the S3 as I am with mine.

Only thing I'm having a problem with is having lost my unlimited data with Verizon.

A picture of a buddy of mine at a tailgate party we had yesterday. I liked the colors a lot.

Amazing how close the macro can go. Not a large field of depth but with that tiny lens it wont happen.

I should post the macro picture of the marble squares I took with my regular camera( Canon powershot S5 IS) just to compare, but I don't have access to it at work. But considering I have to fiddle with light settings and set it on manual and then balance the camera so it doesn't shake and on the S3 it's one button, click to focus and boom. so easy.
