Pre-ordering with Best Buy

Thanks. I checked my husband's note10 i got there too and luckily his works. They better do exchange with a new one and not bull**** me. Lol.


I know, right. this is total bs. hope this isn't the reason some are having trouble getting theirs. what if it's like the N7 battery debacle and they've discovered the issue and it's what you have.

they shipped mine out so fast it's got me wondering. ordered yesterday and on its way today by noon today. so weird.
 
Mine is still showing the date of September 6th (Blue with AT&T) I started doing a little investigating today to see if it was AT&T, Samsung or Sh*tBuys and it looks to be that it is Samsung for mine anyways...I did check the info in a few other states too

So I got my blue note10+ from bestbuy in August 23rd. Well my mobile hotspot thru Verizon gives me a authentication error message every time I try to use it. I got off phone with Verizon tech and confirms my hotspot is including with my line. They said they did all the troubleshooting they can do and it appears to be a manufacturing defect. So they saying I need to take my phone back to bestbuy and have them replace it. So I guess after work tomorrow I'll be in the store another couple hours. Smh. Ridiculous.

Ugh Now I am scared to power-up my MiLs phone to see if she is missing features! Not that she would use them but ya never know. I would hate for her to want to use the HotSpot or any feature and find out she should be able to but can't due to a defect when she got it that they won't cover 6 months later or some other BS lol
 
I believe the phones are at the store they just can't release them yet. The girl that was helping me said hers was in the back too but there's a system issue. She asked my last name and looked at a chart and said my phone was back there too. Hopefully it gets ironed out tomorrow.
 
When I checked the website and it looks like you can order for delivery in 2 days, the BB rep says at the end of processing, it would give an error. I asked how were they fulfilling orders online versus the preorders. He stated they aren't, the online system rejects orders for the note 10. Nor sure what to believe at this point.

Yeah a good friend on this site said to take my sim card out of my note9 and put it in my note10+ and see if if mobile hotspot worked(don't know why I didn't think of that lol) and mobile hotspot worked. Put my note10+ sim card back in and same old error popped up. So can't be a defect. Has to be bad sim. So I guess I'll be going to Verizon tomorrow and not bestbuy. Congrats. Hope yours is in 100% working order. You end up getting the black or aura glow? Sorry if you already said.

Yeah I hope her's is working properly. It turns out mine is most likely a bad sim. I put my note9 sim in my note10+ and mobile hotspot worked so I'm getting sim replaced.
 
Ok so I finally got my phone, just canceled my preorder and got the one in stock. They were able to retain all credit but will need to confirm Samsung ones.

For whatever reason when I upgraded my note8 line to the note10+ only the new sim they put in would activate the new phone. They canceled the other sim card. Should have let me use the same sim. Maybe I wouldn't have this issue. Only one that should got a new sim is my husband's note10 since it was a new line.

Check whatever you normally would use. Sorry if I caused a worry. Was not my intent. Mine has to be a sim issue. Which is better than phone issue. Lol.

Not a worry per se, but since it isn't my phone I'd like to make sure she is set up well. If it was my phone I know what I would do, change, tweak but since it is not, I'm not sure what she would want me to do.
I just want to make sure it is all working the way it should.

I just want to play with it!! But I can wait another week for mine to arrive :/
 
I got it but have been working ever since then. Will update tomorrow on what went down.

Loving it so far, but have only set up essentials. Gonna be a while of digging in as I get "free" time.

Thats great to hear. So can you tell me.....if you did a trade in, did they honor the trade in amount? Also, did you forfeit the Samsung preorder incentive of $150 credit? How did the process work?
 
I called Best buy today and they told me if I cancelled my pre-order I would lose the $150 credit. At this point I really don't care

I agree. I'll be going today or tmrw and just pay outright for it. This is a lesson learned for me...absolutely no more preordering through BB

Yes exact same credit applies with trade in and I got approved for samsung too, now waiting for actual credit.
