Pre-ordering with Best Buy

I'm on hold for the back office now. I was told there is an activation issue with the existing line (mine) and the new line is fine...

I was also told if mine is delayed, I can still pick-up the other one tomorrow. Big Deal! My MiL is out of town and won't be getting her phone from me until the 8th! If they were the same color no big deal but noooooo I had to get the Blue and she got the Glow!!

Mine is the opposite my blue note10+ is on my line that I upgraded. Seems like my issue is my black note10 which is a new line.

Well, after 1 hour, 59 minutes, and 52 seconds; only about 5 of which was actually talking to a person; I was told that there was a problem between Samsung, Best Buy, and Verizon in which Samsung did not supply the IMEI numbers for the new phones headed for Verizon. The operator told me that when a SIM car was installed, the Verizon system would not recognize the new phone. She said that a similar problem occurred with AT&T phones yesterday. They were able to get those problems resolved by 6:00 pm yesterday. They "hoped" to have the same success with this problem. I asked her who I should be angry with about this problem and she actually stated that there was fault among all three entities. She stated that there was nothing any customer should have to do concerning this problem and that it was something the companies had to work out internally. It is quite irritating that a ball of this size could be dropped that could cause delays for so many. I would say this is the first and last time that I consider Best Buy for a phone pre-order.

Same problem here. Got the text. 1 hour and 30 minute hold time. Wth. I’m with At&t and did the upgrade. So not a Verizon issue here. I think it’s Best Buy and not the carriers.

I received my contract details via email from best buy. No update to order status though. Good luck all. It will all workout. Patience is a virtue

I would have to take this with a grain of salt and question the reps Accuracy, because I'm on AT&T, and I got an AT&T branded device, and got the same text and email as everyone else did, today. But I am also just waiting it out and going to the store tomorrow for pickup. If it's not ready tomorrow, then I'll have a real issue.

Same. I don’t have time to wait on hold for 2 hours as I have meetings. So I hope they get it resolved without me.

I've been on hold with BB for 2hrs and 20 mins. I did speak to someone for about 2 minutes. That person then transferred me to another hold line. I'm getting a bit frustrated. It would be nice to get a little info on how long my wait time is going to be. Sprint phone for me. Looks like there was a complete imei mix-up with all the carriers.

Indeed, she said that AT&T had the problem yesterday and they were able to resolve it. This is a Samsung and Best Buy communication error I believe.

I was just reading this thread about the text msgs with a phone number and wait times... Then my text came in :( Checked my email and read "there's a delay with your mobile activation." Checked my order status and it says "Preparing for Pickup Tomorrow" (for my 2nd line) I have to check my line still

But I am on hold for 50 some odd minutes so I have time to check it.
For what it is worth I ordered mine in WI

Yup. I got the same text. On the phone for over an hour now waiting..

Why would shipped phones come in early but store picks ups must be in the day of the official release? Not fair

I believe it's because they are not authorized to release that inventory...as it is in-store. As impatient as I am, I can wait one more day.
