I flashed that radio and now my phone says it is not rooted. yet when I get into the hboot screen it says s-off. Wouldn't I have to be rooted for that?

Logic seems to say yes.

I know this isn't a solution, but try all the usual steps first. Reflashing (again), rebooting, battery pull, etc.

If that doesn't work, I hope you made a backup of prior to this radio. Just restore back to that. I haven't updated to this new radio yet (I don't get LTE anyway) but I haven't had any problems with it.

I would suggest reflashing first good sir and see if that works.

yea it would have been smart to make a radio backup. I am an idiot. I do have a nandroid backup but that is kinda useless without root.

I create backups almost constantly. Before installing a new ROM? Backup. After installing a new ROM and it actually loads/works? Backup. After a new kernel actually loads/works? Backup. Have everything set up perfectly just how I like it? Backup.

Can never be too careful/anal about this. DROID IS LIFE!

You are definitely right about not being too careful. flashed the radio again but no luck. not sure what to do.

So you were rooted to doing this previously, correct?

If so I'd just google for the superuser.apk and/or go through the root process again... try downloading shootme and see if it works?

I have some battery stats from the day to share once my phone gets to ~10%

Where are your stats at bud? And how are you looking at them? Mine is at ~ 13% now and would like to share them with everyone as well

Well here is what I can tell ya so far...

After installing the ROM, flashing the kernel, I charged to 100% and then recalibrated the battery as told to do so by the app (Battery Calibration) and then unplugged the phone. It now says let the phone discharge most of the way down, and then charge back up to 100% all without any interruptions. I'm about to turn it off and allow it to recharge fully. Here is what I can tell you so far about the stats (and realize I've only had this phone for about 5 days)...

EDIT: This is the old radio (not +LTE)

Up time: 20hrs 10 mins
Awake time: 10 hrs +/- 5 mins

Battery Usage:
Display - 45%
Cell standby - 23%
Phone idle - 7%
Voice calls - 7%
Everything else is less than 5%

Wish I had more detailed stats to share. But thats about it. Definitely lasted longer than I had anticipated. I'm also in an area that WIFI is on 100% but the 3G signal is shaky and hardly connects. If I was in the other part of the hospital I'm sure it would have lasted longer!!!

After flashing the new radio a few hours ago my battery is ****. With data off I'm pulling extreme amounts of current idling. In 3 hours I dropped 20% doing almost nothing. The current only goes down when I put it on airplane mode. Frustrated...
Also I'm getting pushed to 3G at my house which has never happened, I used to be always on 4G. Not digging the radio at all!

This makes me sad. Wish I could see your photos (photobucket is blocked @ work). I have yet to flash the new radio (the one that includes LTE) mainly because 1) I'm at work and 2) I'm not in LTE yet...

From what you have said perhaps I'll stick with what I've got for now. However its hard for me not to tinker. Perhaps a backup and then flashing it'll and I'll make a comparison. I'm sure the BAMF boys will keep on pumping out the tweaks. !

Also Forgetful, I'm assuming you made a backup before flashing the new Radio (+LTE is what I'm gonna call it)... if nothing else you could always go back to it. Did you get 4G from the older radio?

I don't think a backup in CWR includes the radio. I already tried clearing all data/caches and then reflashing the rom. No dice, still stuck in 1x no matter what I do.

So right now I'm unrooting and going back to the original version Cory has in the sticky. I just want a clean slate after all this was messed up. Then I'm going to reroot so I can restore my backup pre-new radio.

I've seen some others on XDA have run into the same issues. I also was super careful when installing everything so I shouldn't have make a mistake. I'll hold off on this new radio zip until everything gets sorted out.

Sorry to hear of your troubles my friend. I really thought a CWR backup would include the radio but seeing as how it goes to hboot and what you said makes me think you are probably right

There is no way of finding the older radio?

I am SOOO aggravated right now.
Rooted last night, no problems. Installed BAS BAMF 1.5 this morning, no problem.
So I thought I'd go in and update the ruu...and guess what, I used the one for non-root users. So...yep, brought me right back to factory.... darn it...

Time to root again...oh well.

is there a pre requiset for this i tried it with rom manager. and it said it was bad stoped it. And since I had done wipe all data i lost my rooted now i am trying to root again.

Is anybody having an issue with the browser force closing after loading a page. Seems to be getting worse. Using stock browser and does the same skyfire. Tried using dolphin but cant seem to turn off mobile view.

I am having the same issue. It keeps kickin back to the homescreen.
