[ROM] [04.19.11] BAMF Remix 1.5 - New base RUU plus more! *UPDATE*

I'm really enjoying this ROM so far, but one thing is a bit concerning to me. I have been off the charger for about 6 hours, and I have almost 2 hrs of Partial Wake Usage for Android System. I never saw this with stock, and I'm a bit concerned that it's eating my battery as I'm at 64% after 6 hours with very light usage.

Is this a normal behavior, or is there something I can do to cut down on the partial wake usage for Android System?

Why do I lose root when I load this rom? I get prompted by Superuser to grant permission to Shootme, for example, but then Shootme fails to load and asks me to check to make sure I have root access. Any help would be appreciated?

I had the same problem, thought I lost root but actually its a superuser bug, I flashed this file and all was fixed........

T-bolt>>dasBAMF 1.5 remix, BAMF 4.4.2 kernel, urban theme...

Set this up EARRRRRLY this morning no problems. Finally got everything settled how I like. Flashed leanKernel1.1 Normal on top of it. Working like a charm. Charged to 100% and recalibrated the battery data.

I must say, battery life is IMPRESSIVE. However, no 4G where I'm at so that could explain it.

My only fear? 1.6 will come out tonight and I'll be doing this all over again lol!!!

BIG THANKS to the OP!!! ...also to FORGETFUL for GTalking me all the way through the process. :D

Every time you flash a new rom do you have to reset the battery?

I tried flashing this rom last night and the new radio. Browser worked fine but I could not set Gmail, it said I had no internet connection when I clearly did. Anyone have a fix for that? I flashed back to my old Tom and it works perfect.

Also Forgetful, I'm assuming you made a backup before flashing the new Radio (+LTE is what I'm gonna call it)... if nothing else you could always go back to it. Did you get 4G from the older radio?

This will be my first rom on Thunderbolt (OG Droid Rom'ed before this).

What is the process to backup and restore a radio?

I haven't rooted yet, going to do that tomorrow using the auto process here: http://forum.androidcentral.com/thu...-auto-root-unroot-windows-updated-4-20-a.html

Then planning to install the Remix.

Should I update the radio before remix rom flashing or after?

Thanks!

I'm getting bad barry with this and the radio. But I actually was getting great battery with 1.5 and the 12mb radio file that was posted initially...

I'm currently running BAMF remix 1.5 with the updated radio. I wanted to switch to the regular BAMF 1.5 and was wondering if I have to wipe data etc., or can I simply flash it without wiping? Also, do I have to flash the updated radio again?

Does it matter if you flash the radio file after the ROM?

I'm losing about 15% battery life per hour with heavy use on wifi with GPS on, bluetooth off, setCPU set to ondemand with 245Mhz screen off profile. This sound normal?

For those having questions/problems

I think I'm qualified to give some advice as I have been on BAMF since it's inception, and have been nearly trouble free throughout. So here it goes.

Make your backups of just your apps, and not any system data. The few problems I've experienced is when I've used titanium to backup and restore all my system data to a new rom.

Make sure before you flash that you wipe data, and both caches. This a given, even if you're upgrading to a different version of the same rom. At the very least wipe cache. It also wouldn't hurt to wipe the battery stats while you're in recovery as well.

With this latest radio fix make sure you're only flashing the extracted file (25mb) that's in the first post, and not the entire rom/ruu file. Then flash 1.5. I've flashed the radio after the rom with no problems as well.

SetCPU has worked best for me concerning battery life with no sacrifice on performance using the smartass governor setting, but ondemand seems to be more stable. Clear data if necessary, reboot and then auto detect. Check set on boot. I've read that creating other profiles will conflict with this rom so I stay away from that.

After I'm done restoring apps, tweaking some settings and setting up my accounts I then charge to full and begin a bump charge.

All this seems pretty basic, but to those that are new and having issues this it was has worked for me, and I can say I'm not changing a thing lol. Hope this helps someone.

Thanks. Not knowing any better I restored all apps, including system ones. I'm getting random reboots in the middle of regular things like typing email and browsing this forum. Will try and reflash tomorrow and only restore my apps.

This may or may not be the place for this post, please move if necessary.
I'm on BAMF 1.5 remix, newest radio and Adrenalyn 4.4.2a I believe.
Is there a step by step setup for SetCPU. All the settings can be confusing.
Smartass, on demand, etc??

Yesterday I was getting lots of random reboots as well. What governor are you using? Im using smartass.

I'm not having any issues other than it is chewing through the battery twice as fast as it was stock.
The exact opposite of what I expected.
