Hey scrosler....tried downloading 2.3 through rom updater and it keeps failing at about 25mb into the download. Says info was refused from your site. No big deal, I'll just download from my pc. Just wanted to give you a heads up...can't wait to update. Keep up the great work!

Flashed 2.3 tonight, and my battery mod and so far no issues. Another quality ROM. I will look to see if there is any lag on scrolling.

There is scroll lag and I have a fix coming. The kernel update seems to screw up scrolling so I am reverting back to prior kernel. Doing some final testing and then I will push the update to ROM Updater.

Ok, I tested out all sorts of configurations and I have come to the the following conclusions...

There is a video performance hit in CleanROM 2.3. I attribute this performance hit to the change in kernels. I did some testing to confirm this.

Basically while nearly identical benchmark results the user experience took a hit with the new kernel. Video performance was just not the same!

I pushed a SP1 file for everyone on CleanROM 2.3. You can download in ROM Updater. See post #2 for ROM Updater instructions.

I am also updating the core ROM itself so going forward (in about 45 Minutes) so everyone downloading the the complete ROM will have the SP1 file integrated. I will update the OP when the upload completes.

SP1 also included the Hotspot patch.

CleanROM was designed to be a cleaned up Sprint Stock ROM with some features and enhancements! This is not a heavily themed ROM! All HTC and Google Apps are up to date as of 9/4/2011.
ROM is de-odexed and based on official Sprint RUU 2.08.651.2.

Fixed: Bug with Sprint Hotspot
Reverted: Reverted kernel to freeza's stock kernel update2 for improved video performance

So the more I played with it, the more I noticed the lag that was mentioned. I really noticed it in the email app. I have a LOT of email, and scrolling it was really impacted.

I just installed the sp1 delta and sure enough, I don't see the lag anymore. Everything scrolls real nice again.

I still have 1 small request for the rom updater. PLEASE make the color of the text on what you are going to download black and not the grey. I really have a hard time reading the grey on grey color scheme of that. Everything else is back text, why not this?
