Hmmm... Well I know benchmarks are not "supposed" to mean anything but if you go by bench marks it does mean something. To those people I say... I guess 0 to 60 doesn't mean anything either? They may respond with "No the car is made for top end speed." Well that benchmark app only measures what the application developer write it to measure. So if changing kernels makes it run faster or slower on those functions then all apps will run faster or slower on those functions.
I guess I dont know what I am trying to say but read carefully: If your benchmark score slows then simply put... Something is slowing down. Granted Quadrant is not dual core capable, so if it tests out performance on single core and that single core scores lower... well... then that single core is running slowe on those functions. Thats the truth my friend.
But... You get back to the age old debate... Are benchmarks accurate? I say yes. Others will say no. I really believe that if quadrant score goes up or down then overall phone performance goes up or down.
And lastly.... I think benchmarks are good for measuring performance but at what point do we really need them? This phone HAULS ASS out of the box. Shouldn't your eyes and other sensory input be the real test?
(Bet you were not expecting all that for an answer? lol)
