i have a question for anyone that knows the steps on how to update this ROM from 2.0 to 2.1 ?? the update app that was included does not even work ..so whats the alternative on future updates when the updater app does not work do i have to download the 2.1 zip and flash it all over again like i did 2.0? if so let me know thanks ... who ever helps me will get 100 cool points lol holla at me buds

The OP states... The ROM Updater does not boot into recovery. Do not use that option. Use it just to download. When the download is done, reboot into recovery using the power menu you get when you hold down the power button. The file will be downloaded to "/CleanROM/" Just flash it from there.

Can I have my cool points now? Also, can I redeem those for "Internetz" instead? I still have a coupon for internetz I haven redeemed yet

I just updated my 2.0 version to 2.1. I downloaded the 2.1 zip file. Rebooted into recovery. Wiped Cache, Wiped Dalvik Cache and installed 2.1 zip. Reboot. So far no problems.

As far as i was told, the Rom Updater will not boot into recovery yet, so its just to be used as a means to download the zip file. You will still need to manually boot the phone into recovery to flash zips. Think this is something he is still working on.

So, I had no problems with my cell service when I was running 1.2. I did factory reset from recovery flashed 2.0 and since then my phone has been roaming only. When I flip it to sprint only, it has no service. OTHER sprint phones in my house are working fine. I cleared cache and what not and flashed 2.1 a little bit ago, and same problem. In sprint mode only no service. 2 other sprint phones next to me have sprint coverage no problem.

Any ideas on what happened? Any ideas on how to solve? I did a prl update, I did a device configuration update. Still no Sprint coverage.

Do this.... Flash the Stock ZIP Rooted that I have and tell me what your results are.

Also, can you capture your radio version (aka baseband) from the settings -> About Phone -> Software?

My signal strength reads lower than a EVO setting right beside it.
I can't dial out.
I get the following message:
The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
(force close)
I can select a contact and call them, but no dialing from the pad.

Thats weird. I cannot replicate that. Did you wipe and install fresh? Also, what radio version are you on?

Ok, here is what I would do....


Step 1:
First start off with a complete fresh wipe. Reboot into recovery, select Wipe / Factory Reset. Then reflash the ROM. If that doesn't resolve it let me know and we can move on to other issues. It sounds like you just need to wipe.

Step 2 (optional): Flash the updated Radio. I can grab it for you if you need it.

No, but it doesnt hurt to stay up to date. I think the issue software related. Try the wipe method first.

I can dial, just not sprint * codes. Man, that sux, I wiped for nothing. Gotta set that crap up again. Sprint * codes give me the error.

I am at work for the night, and am stuck at 1x speed. I'll have to wait and do this tomorrow afternoon (Pacific time)when I wake up.

I am using the teamwin recovery. I had temp root, and then used the revolutionary pre03 or something like that. Not the current 4 one.

Also, Android Market won't download a thing for me. Has anyone found a fix for this? Sticks at starting download. I use a google apps account, but even if I try a non-apps account it still won't download.
