I am on a mac, so, I need a little help. How do I flash the modem.tar file? Also, all the add-ons are in zip form, right? I can just flash those in CWM?

You need to flash the modem using Odin.

for CWM3025, do I follow the same instructions as CWM2.5? I am on EC05 stock unrooted

Yes run OneClickRoot for CWM 3.0.2.5 same as you would for any other OneClickRoot.

Hey guys! I recently installed this onto my friend's Epic, coming from a OneClickRooted stock EC05. I downloaded the rom and add-ons at about 7:15am EST. I also applied the GPS Fix after finding out it wasn't locking. GPS Status also did not cure it. However I'm not sure if the ROM I downloaded was before or after the fix was integrated. One thing I did not do though, is flash the new modem through Odin. Could this be preventing the GPS from locking? I'm just a little wary of Odin, as it's not my phone, lol. I want to read a little more about it before I go through with it.

Everything else works great, except for a small issue with GTalk's video chat. I tried out video calling between my CM7 (GApps 0504) Evo and the Epic, and the Epic uses the back camera, resulting in this crazy white/red corrupted image on the EVO. It displayed its own camera on the Epic, as well as the EVO's FFC for both devices, but there was no 'flip camera' button on the Epic, like there is on the EVO (even though it just crashes it). FFC on the Epic works for the stock Camera.

Otherwise, great work guys! No complaints at all, just doing some test reporting!

Oooh one quick question I thought of. I applied the CRT/Overscroll addon, and the CRT effect is only on screen turning off. This is normal, correct? Now the overscrolling part... I assumed that was when you reach the end of a menu and it will overscroll instead of doing the Gingerbread 'color gradient' thingy. Does the addon remove the color gradient and use the overscroll effect? Or are my assumptions totally off and I don't know what I'm talking about? Lol!

Alright, last edit and I gotta get some sleep. I noticed on stock EC05, long-press search for Voice Search did not work when the keyboard was open, with either search key. This bug has been fixed with EE03! Not sure if this is a new fix or not, as he's only had the Epic for a few days. Just wanted to say thanks! I know that bug would bother me~

+1 on the new EE03 modem! Once in a great while on a perfect day I would catch 4g signal at home, now with this new modem I'm grabbing 4g without a problem! Its about time Sammy/Sprint did something right !

Overall impression so far is this leak is far from a leak, it runs very smooooth....

I thought CWM 3 automatically converted to EXT? Are you saying once I ODIN back to stock and use the CWM 3 one click it will convert to EXT then when I flash the new EE03 ROM it will convert back to RFS? Sorry if this seem obvious.

Thank you for the suggestion, but I think I may have tried that. It was 4-5 hours ago, so maybe that wasn't the newest fix. I'll have another crack at it later!d Could've been a corrupted .zip, but CWM seemed to flash it just fine. Ah well, we'll see.

+1 on that! Would love to see it. I installed Extended Controls to put it on the desktop, but a stock option would rock.

Odin back to stock EC05, link below procedure #1 has stock EC05

Then run your OneClickRoot 3.0.2.5 as directed.


This ROM is based on RFS system ONLY, it will NOT convert to EXT4 at this time. As k0nane stated, they attempted EXT4 with the ED12 leak but didn't have any success so it wasn't on the priority list with this latest leak. But he also did state that the kernel team will be looking into getting EXT4 working. This could be something we have to wait for a source code on to make happen, which once GB goes official the source code should follow or release right before it in Sammy fashion.

Your antivirus program deleted one of the files. Disable it, unzip the files again and then try.

I'm fairly sure this is a virus protection issue. When I downloaded and tried to run that file my virus protection quarantined the file and deleted it.

I had to disable all virus protection then redownload the one click root and it ran fine.

That probably explains why that file is missing as that exact same file was missing on mine the first time.

Settings > About Phone

Baseband should end in EE03. To flash the modem, follow the instructions in the FAQ.

If I am running EC05 prerooted/cwm v2.5.1.0 rfs(odexed) do I need to install stock EC05 first?

This is sounding like a great version of GB and I figure as long as it runs as good as DK28 did I may as well upgrade. Froyo has been fun.

To bad I wasn't a graphics man, I would create a custom "last time" shutdown animation to flash on Froyo builds... Something to the effect of Froyo fading away into no mans land and Gingerbread man standing proud...
