I'm using 8/8 from Jakeday. And combining that one with Euroskank/AOKP ROMS.

In reality, I look for two things--actual JB apps and market restore. Past that, everything can be had via the market.

I'm using 7/23 xoomdev until someone says otherwise lol

So I'm a big bugless homer, but wanted to give the newest aokp a try tonight. Before I started setting things up I noticed my home soft key wasn't working. Haven't been keeping up with aokp at all, but anyone have an idea what might be making that happen?

Is this the best AOKP ROM? I want to try AOKP and currently use Euroskank AOSP so I would like to stick with a good dev. that I know puts out quality ROMs.

Every time I go to DL from goo.im it keeps loading until I get this error message....

We are currently experiencing difficulties with one or more of our distribution servers. Please hang tight for this to get resolved

Nevermind. Went ahead and walked on the wild side and assumed it would work. I do miss the auto restore that I had with the last Euroskank.

My time with AOKP was short lived. I flashed it last night and instead of running like butter it ran more like a vascular system after too much butter. I decided maybe a new flash was needed so I reflashed the ROM and gapps and the butteriness improved but when I rebooted after installing the DarkJelly theme it went into a bootloop.
Had to restore from backup of Euro. Sticking with AOSP for the foreseeable future. I like some of the customization that AOKP offers and maybe I'll try again at some point.

Yeah I loved aokp's cuztomization with ics but i havent heard too much good from the jb builds.. I need my phone to be stable so ill just be patient and wait.. Euroskank is nice right now and really stable..

Even though I'm not currently on AOKP, I'm just curious, do GAPPs have any relation to how Google Now works? What I mean is, back when I was still on Jelly Belly (2.1, I think), it seemed like Google Now worked with more of the apps. For instance, I could say "Text <insert contact here> <insert message here>", and it would write up that text message and ask me if I wanted to send it to the contact I told it to. When I do that now, it just runs a web search.

Currently I'm on CNA 3.1, though I believe I noticed this when I was on the AOKP 7/29 build, as well. I wonder if it's a GAPPs thing, or just something not working right with more recent ROMs, or what?
