[ROM] Android Open Kang Project- Jelly Bean Style

I'm probably gonna hold off on upgrading for a few revisions, the battery life with 815 and stock kernel has been Crazy so far. Yesterday i beat phone up good at work, when i got home at the end of the day i was impressed. Check out the shots below. Didn't expect to see those numbers!

AOKP is running really good on today's built. This is way a better experience than I had last time I tried it.

Coming from EuroSkank, I LOVE the 8/17 AOKP nightly. Running great. The best of all worlds!

The ONLY thing that I miss coming from the EuroSkank ROM is the power button menu that offered your selection of custom sound profiles. Completely customizable, not just the generic "silent" and "vibrate" offered in this ROM... Unless I missing something?

Thanks,

Matt!

Congrats on the great battery life! Do you have a link to the stock kernel, by chance?

Thanks!

If your running AOKP and have not changed the kernel, you have the stock kernel. I've been switching to trinity after flashing but im staying stock this time. If you changed the kernel already try reinstalling the ROM.

Since you have been singing the praises of the new and improved AOKP, what does this ROM have now that skank doesn't and what doesn't this ROM have yet?
I have been having pretty good success with the skank ROM since I left AOKP after the first nightly. Did it finally add the lock screen targets? Thanks.

No lockscreen targets, but to put in a comparison--you know all of those sweet options you see in other roms? Toggles, navigation bar mods (including the ability to change the icon), stuff like that? That's based, more or less, on AOKP's ROM Control. A few them simply rename ROM Control, which is all well and good I might add. However, AOKP does original coding and they make some incredibly useful features. Right now it's cookin' with high heat and I expect an official release (as opposed to an official nightly) sooner rather than later.

So, installed my first rom yesterday (aokp nightly from 8/17). Working great, but have a question. How do I revert back to the default jellybean puncher rather than using NOVA?

Settings >Apps>All> Nova -- Clear defaults.

New build up today, check androtransfer.

Clean flashed AOKP and it's nice to see the features getting filled in from those early preview builds I tried a while ago.

So, are you rocking the AOKP case again?

Yup, put it back on 2 days ago lol.

OK so I would like to return to the unicorn but if someone could answer a few questions about the latest ROM.

Does it have the volume split for phone and notification like skank cm 10. love this feature.

Does it have the same issue as the newer skank with rom manager being part of the rom and that no media file issue.

Thanks

Let me double check on the volume thing, but I'm 90% sure it has a volume menu. It should split those, but I'll do a double.

They don't include RM. CM does b/c the RM dev is part of CM.
