Hey all,

I'm trying to find the stock JB kernel for this ROM - I have Franco's latest nightly, but would like to go back to the stock kernel, but can't find a download link....

I thought I found one, but it kept boot looping, so I had to go back to Franco's.

I appreciate the help!

You should be able to just dirty flash the ROM and Gapps again and that will get the stock kernel back

The developer of their kernel is "faux," FWIW.

Hm, might do a clean flash of this once it is out. Been DF'ing Skank since 0816 and I could use a clean one soon.

I know there are several schools of thought, but the only difference between a dirty flash and a clean one is that there's a factory reset involved - which still keeps the 'SD portion' or the Galaxy Nexus, right? There's no reason to format the ENTIRE PHONE (hence having to move the zips you're gonna flash from a computer - since you just wiped them) right?

If you have recurring issues regardless of clean or dirty flashing, then it might be advisable to clean the entire thing.

I Clean Flash every 3-5 DF's to keep things, well, clean. I figure in 3-5 builds enough code changes that it's worth giving the system a fresh beginning.

Wiping Data does not erase your "sd card". I believe factory reset wipes everything BUT the sd storage. The only thing that wipes everything to my knowledge is unlocking the bootloader.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

That's correct. I've never lost the zip files or pics/music when Ive wiped data. You will lose your apps and data though. Unlocking wipes everything as a security precaution.

If it's like the ICS builds, they will include a link to the recommended gapps. I assume they will recommend the 7/26 gapps unless new signed gapps are created.

And for those who care, Francisco Franco just released Milestone 5. That should go well with Build 1. It's a good Android day!

Let's hope that build bot hurries the hell up :).
