[ROM] Android Open Kang Project- Jelly Bean Style

I'm also getting loss of signal on Faux's kernel. Did your signal bars go grey, then having to go into/out of airplane mode to fix it? It has been running smoothly other than that issue though. Didn't know if this was a kernel issue or not. I thought maybe it had to do with my dirty flashing from Build 2.

I got the empty triangle of doom. I haven't had any loss of signal problems since I upgraded to the latest radios. I figured switching the kernel was the first thing to try. All good now.

OK got 2 hiccups after I flashed build 3,
1- when booting up I got what looked like a white fuzzy screen after the boot ani, the phone did boot up.
2- tried to make a phone call, the dialer flickered, disconnected flashed dark and dialer reappeared. tried a few more times but seems stable now.

Clean install.

Other than that today will be the 1st full day of use so we'll see how the battery handles it.

I had some issues with the dialer after my dirty flash as well. A clean install cured all the ills.

I had both of these issues happen to me on a previous build. It was also on a clean install. Had to reinstall to make the problem go away. I also used a different GAPPS when i reinstalled. I remember saying it was not that big of a deal at first, but then i started to get reboots which forced me to wipe it and reinstall.

I know this isn't technically AOKP related, but I'm trying to figure out why my battery life has been disappointing for a while. There's two things I kinda did around the same time I noticed disappointing battery life. The first was that I flashed the newest radios, for 4.1.1. The second was that I turned "sync" on for a few options under my Google account (most notably for GMail, but I thought that does "push" notifications, rather than the traditional kind of syncing that burns up your battery life?).

I suppose I could turn off syncing for some of the stuff in my Google account, but I kinda like having my stuff "sync" across my phone and my tablet. What I'm curious about is, is there any way to adjust how often those things sync? Aside from GMail, I only really need the rest to sync once a day (if even that), rather than continuously syncing throughout the day. But I've gone into the individual apps (People, Calendar, etc.), and I can't seem to find any options or settings for how frequently any of this stuff syncs.

experiment with different kernels. I'm not going to try and pretend I understand kernels, but leankernel works well for me. I noticed a nice improvement in battery life.
Turn off Google Now.
Adjust auto brightness levels.

Well, previously, I was on CNA (with Trinity kernel), and all was fine, with Google Now on, and auto-brightness. Whatever happened occurred before I switched back to AOKP (and Franco kernel), though, and the new radios and the extra Google syncs are the only things I really did around the time I noticed battery life starting to be worse.

I have to agree build 3 and Franco drained my battery quicker than my build 1 and older Franco. Any idea what to look for. Phone does go into deep sleep.

It's probably just me but I could not get jb build 3 to stabilize on my phone. Had to go back to milestone 6 for now.

Did you try using different kernels? I was having issues at first with build 3, played around with a couple kernels, and now am running smooth with franco's m5.

AOKP tweeted that build 4 drops Sunday!

That was quick, 3 dropped what a week ago? Longer time between 1-2 and 2-3. Hope it tweaks battery life.
