Usb mass storage should work like normal, plug in the Usb cable and select in the notifications.... unless you have fastcharge turned on.

Installed this rom about 2 days ago and loving it for the most part! Its great that this old little LG Optimus V can support Jelly Bean. It's fast, responsive, love the fact that this has emoji font, they're not fantastic but are compatible with iPhone emojis which is still great. Wifi works and audio is decent! I'm using CronMod-INT2EXT+ so I have a lot of useful memory.

HOWEVER, using build A28, there are a few little minor issues that have probably already been brought up, but if someone can help me that would be great. First, the homescreen is not perfect, the google search bar isn't automatically on the homescreen, and (again probably already mentioned) occasionally the screen messes up when using the browser and editing photos. Second, the lockscreen could be better! Originally I used a pattern to unlock my phone but it was too small on the screen, so now I just use a pin number (which is still small for screen). Third, the clock is a little fast from actual time but no lag issue. Fourth, what happened to ALL of the settings? I'm missing developer settings, performance, etc. and (even though I don't need it, still) check for updates in About Phone. Fifth, since I don't have all of my settings, I don't know how to turn off fastcharge meaning USB mass storage isn't working for me. Finally, one thing I noticed is build a28 is suppose to be android 4.2.2, but my android version still says 4.2.1!

Once again this rom is still amazing and very responsive! If someone could help me with the issues I just mentioned that would be great! But Great Job @theKraven :)

Time lag: I have used test kernels 38, 39 and 40 from the CAI thread. So far, 38 seems to be the sweet spot, the clocklag isn't as prominent, but for some reason, I am left to using Wake My Android Pro bc of a deep sleep issue that I must have the only V with said problem.

USB Mass Storage: Can't answer that because I've never had a problem with it.

Wrong Android version: I think you gotta tweak the build.prop by hand. I've been meaning to do it myself, just too damn lazy to fire up a text editor and fix it.

To get developer settings and performance, like in stock 4.2.1/.2, you need to tap the build number 7 times to get it. That's become a universal thing in this version of Jelly Bean.

Thanks! I finally got the developer & performance setting! As far as the build.prop, I'll do that later

EDIT: Changed android version in build.prop to 4.2.2 and my lock screen issue was solved. I also figured out how to get my Google search bar on all homescreens, but I'm still having issues with widgets overlapping.

I don't have fast charge, but it still doesn't show the option in the notifications...

EDIT: boot loop solved, TY, details at bottom of post

ugh....I tried flashing this ROM, couldn't get the Play to show up so I went back to my previous ROM and now it is stuck on the boot animation(2.5hours and going). I'll explain what I did incase anyone wants to help me out of this rut.

I have previous experience with flashing CM9 Android with my HP Touchpad tablet32g.
Virgin sent me an optimus V to replace a blackberry about 3 months ago.
I put in a 16gb class6 sdcard
It has zv5
I installed the [ROM][WIP]CM9.1.0-BobZ
Reboot took a good 10 mins. on CM9animation
Everything that I needed was working fine but I never got the internal memory extension totally dialed in (link2sd).
=============================================================
So today I downloaded the pacrom 3-4-2013 Test build 3, both Gapps, and Virgin.fix.PAC-rom.zip

the recovery I have installed is bobz cwm 4.0.1.5

I wiped the cache and davlik
flashed the ROM
flashed the KonstaTgapps
flashed the VM fix

after reboot there was no Play store
reboot
no store
went into recovery
flashed Gapps from c3c0. multi dpi market
reboot
no Play store(market)
reboot
no market

So I decided to go back to my BOBZCM9.1.0
I wiped cache then davlik
flashed BOBZCM9
flashed the gapps
reboot
CM9animation is running 3 hours+
It will not go into recovery or finish booting.
I don't know if there is some button combo to try to get back into recovery:-\
=============================================
I really would like to get this OV dialed in with the internal memory extension , preferably JB or ICS
================================================
its now plugged into the wall with boot animation running
when I USB it to the laptop the laptop makes a 'boink' when I plug it in but does not show up on the file explorer

---------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: pulled battery for few mins
hold power+volume down+home and release once LG logo flashes
back into recovery:D

phew- now to dial in this ROM:confused:

Moving between roms and different os, you need to format system and data in recovery along with cache and dalvik. Then flash the rom +gapps. I use twrp recovery, but others can chime in with what other recovery works.

I can't believe this is jb, ive got 32% battery left after my 8 hour work day and about 4 hours not at work. Light use but still pretty darn good.

Been using COT 2.2. But I second all of what thekraven says. Also make Nandroids of previous roms you are using if you ever need to go back for any reason. AND also make sure to have TiBU on hand and backup all data beforehand and apps as well. When you decide to go back to a Nandroid of a previous ROM, get it into airplane mode, fire up TiBU and restore before turning the juice back on.

I used to do that on Bob's ROMs when I used to have problems with his CM10.

Phone off. At the same time hold (power+volume down+home) buttons. The LG icon will flash then screen will go dark and it will boot into recovery. If you're not holding all three keys it will boot normally.

Check md5sum wipe everything and reflash. I'm going on my 2nd day and have had no data troubles going in and out of WiFi even

Edit... I should mention I am running LS670ZVJ firmware though..... Shouldn't matter. Other than I have an extra patch to flash

Did you have this prior to flashing? If so, perhaps it is your area.

On a side note, on the JBC build, anyone notice that wifi is draining the battery? Now I only use wifi when my phone is plugged in.

Finally success flashing Fixed-INT2EXT+. I'm not sure what I've been doing wrong but it would never work for me. I suspected that I did something wrong to my SD card so I formatted and partitioned it again and did a clean flash of PAC test 3. I have an 8GB card so I kept the ext partition to 1GB. Before installing any apps I have 812 mb free. Really amazed at how stable this is. Many thanks to thekraven for the great work!

Just curious as to what everyone is using for max/min CPU, governor, and io scheduler. I currently have 748/245, InteractiveX, deadline. My previous rom was MiRaGe where the recommended settings were 806/122, Interactive, sio.

748/480 savagedzen. Almost no crashes, one or two a week maybe. Zero crashes on 748/600 (but i worry about jackin the min up that far). This is unheard of for a non GB rom on my phone. I loved cai and slim bean, but they never oc'd like the PAC ROM.
