Is it a problem that I downloaded the AOSP while setting up Euroskank AOKP? I was hoping to have better luck with Skank then I had with the official AOKP. I am getting good at setting up after a clean flash.

WTF? To me, that would be the typical setup for just adding the search button to the standard setup.
Why doesn't CM10 not have this built in already??

Does the auto restore work yet with 726 gapps?

It will work as long as you don't manually format /system before flashing. It's my understanding that CM has a script that will auto restore your apps. This script should work with any gapps.

Is JRO03L in the Euroskank builds yet? If not, how will we know when it's in there, seeing as there is no changelog? I feel I should do a full wipe right now. I just have that feeling. I don't want to wipe today and have to do it again once the new binaries are included. I am guessing that this would probably be highly recommended at that point.

Just tried to flash this and it kept saying installation abort. A little upset because this is the first time ever I have ran into a problem and needed to use my nandroid backup... any ideas? Went to the website and downloaded latest build etc.

Try downloading again after you delete the old file and check the md5 if it matches the one from where the file is located. You can check the Md5 in the properties of the downloaded zip file itself from any file explorer in your phone.

I'm not sure about the leankernels but Franco has been on top of his game on putting out the latest updates to his kernels so try the latest nightlys, he's very close to a JellyBean milestone kernel. As far as the transparent Google search widget, I've been getting that with the Nova launcher and it takes away the static search bars from all the wallpapers if thats something you where thinking of removing.

FWIW, I have this ROM running on a Samsung Fascinate at home. Runs like a champ!

I love it on my GN too. I think will be my daily driver from now on, but there are a few things the CNA has (in ICS) that I would like to see. Not sure if these things might become part of CM10 or if I should start looking at other options.

First is I would like to get Fast Charge mode. Is something I might expect from CM or should I start looking at kernels? I would prefer to just use the kernel the ROM ships with, but I might take the plunge if Fast Charge isn't something CM will do.

Secondly, I want to control how many home screens I have. I would rather have this baked into the ROM, if it's not likely to show up in CM then I'll start looking at launcher apps.

I might be wrong, but I think this is how it works.

If you delete data, wipe cache and dalvic before flashing the ROM it should work. If you also format system in CWM before flashing auto restore wont work. My guess it CM has a script that drills through the system partition and makes a list of apps it needs to restore before it formats the partition.


Maybe someone with more knowledge can confirm this.
