BobZhome has been doing work on getting headset buttons working like the volume up and down buttons on some headsets.

But in testing the 3.2 kernel, it broke the headset mic function, so I'm packaging the 3.11 IHO kernel that includes that fix.

Does that mean that users of this awesome ROM will finally be able to use the handset microphone on calls when a wired headset is plugged into the headphones jack?
If so I will be the happiest person in the Android universe... :D

Thanks again for your awesome work kraven!

Good Evening,

I just installed your ROM this weekend and absolutely love it! I am however having problems with storage media being activated when plugging in the USB in windows 7. I am running the 10-10 version on Optimus LS670. This seems to be the only problem I am having at the current time.

The headset fix for right now is for the heatset multi button ones with volume up and down buttons that control tracks also.

As for your USB problems, are you coming from ZVH? You might try reinstalling the LG drivers again. Try this one first and see if it works http://www.lg.com/us/support/mc-support/drivers/LG%20_USB%20_Drivers_All_4.9.7.zip

If not try the newer ones for ZVH: http://www.lg.com/us/support/mc-support/drivers/LGLS670.zip

If that doesn't work, you can try Drew's Xionia Redux Kernel. First flash his kernel then the button fix afterwards.

By the way kraven, I installed version 2 of the multitouch fix and can confirm the USB port working just fine!

Re: [ROM][WIP] CM7 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-17-2011

New nightly has been uploaded
10-17-2011 . Has an updated 3.11 Iho kernel by BobZhome. Has interactive governor for better performance while in idle and streaming audio. Headset button fixes for media and calling. Multitouch fix thanks to drew. This should help with games and fast texting. Added GPS servers and Crypted agps LG mod. Camera has image stabilization. Latest cm7 sync.

Cm7 tip: turn on 16-bit transparency to make a smoother cm7 experience. It's under settings + Cyanogenmod settings + performance.

See 1st post for download for the 10/17 Rom and Kernel only if you don't want to do a full update.
I will make a new center clock and transparency patch, but current ones should work.
Uploading the barebones build later today
I'll link just the kernel if you don't want to fully update.

it is recommended you do a full wipe before installing this update. But you can try just wiping cache and formatting the system in recovery. Or flash the debug system zip in hotfixes. Then proceed to flash the rom and gapps. And if you get force closures, then do a full wipe.

GingerKernel v05.1 by drewwalton19216801 - With current builds the camera is white

Is the camera being white still the case? Does that mean the camera isn't usable?

Re: [ROM][WIP] CM7 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-17-2011

Just with using the Ginger kernel. The camera is white. I haven't tested that kernel with this new 10/17 build yet. It takes pictures ok, but the interface is all white. So that's the main bug using the Ginger kernel. If you decide to try it, turn off the cyanogenmod screen off and on animations

Love your work.

Question, when I flashed the 10-10 update, the menu/home buttons were switched. Is this fixed on this one? Or is there a hot fix that I am missing somewhere?

Thanks

Re: [ROM][WIP] CM7 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-17-2011

I think I'll just update the kernel today... Don't feel like reconfiguring all my apps again just yet.

I have a question regarding the voice button on the right side of our phone. Is it activated in the rom? If so how can I map it to voice search? My long press search is mapped to text messaging so it'd be nice to have that little hot key.

Are you running xionia redux? Because the buttons are switched in the new updates.

Are you using an Optimus S?

Did you flash a different kernel? Or using the one that came with the 10/10 ROM?

There is a button hotfix if using Xionia Redux just below the Download section. Try that and let me know. Flash it in recovery.

Here is just the kernel and keypad fix that's in the 10/10 ROM. Try this next. IHO-kernelv3.1-sprint.zip

If that don't work, try this. It's the latest IHO-BobZhome 3.11 Kernel. And has the newer GPS.conf file with more servers and multi touch fix IHO-Bobz3.11-kernel-multitouch-gpsfix.zip

You can map almost any function to almost any hardware key. theres a how to thread in the rooting and roms forum. just search for map (or remap) hardware keys. Its just a matter of using a txt editor to modify the file. I'd link it for ya but using an old tapatalk that won't let me.

Ah, so there was a hot fix. Got it, thanks!
Ill be flashing the 10-17 tonight. Keep up the good work, we appreciate it!

Well after a month or so on zvh roms, i jumped ship back to zvd. I had only minor issues, but they add up. Boy it is SO nice to have cm7 back, it is like coming home from vacation. I had fun, and the different sights were cool, but i was home sick!

I was running drews rom before, but this is a truely solid build. Nice work.

Is it me or is the links for the 10/17 full and barebones not working...

I have not updated from 10-10 yet but I must say the 3.11 kernel is the best one yet! This phone just keeps getting better and better. Thanks a lot the kraven, bob zhome, drew and IHO for all you have accomplished here with these phones.
