Hey,

I have a feeling this is just me, but everytime I try to add a contact to my phone book, I get a popup that says the android.process.acore has stopped and to force close....is there something I could try to do that would fix this? Just looking for suggestions :)

Doesn't happen to me. I would try to do the following in this order: a) nandroid backup b) clear cache (test again) c) dirty flash (test again).

I would try what memsman said first. If that doesn't work. It sounds like something got restored from your old settings or you missed a data wipe. Clear the data for contacts in settings > application > manage application > under the all tab look for contact and contact storage. And clear both. Then resync your contacts under settings + account.

Making progress. Ironically wasn't the port. I cleared the cache in the internet settings and the checkboxes showed up. Rectangles around links aren't though. Notoriously the gmail app which has show pictures and the attachment download buttons. Or in my above screenshot they save link under the post edit.

This is a very minor annoyance though and I'm happy to get my check boxes back.

PS: sorry if autocorrect changed some words... Started using Swype today.

Edit: I lied. It worked for a while in that settings page but not on say the Sprint page. I'll keep playing with it and post what I find.

Edit2: the settings page on google works when I turn of instant search results. Unfortunately any purge site with a "Remember Me" checkbox or any dropdown doesn't show a graphic.
Same exact issue here. I didn't even notice it until I saw your post...

Im going to try that! it but i wiped data, cache, and dalvik as well as used the debug.zip when I flashed the 10-17 build and still happened! Possibly the phone itself?

I have the check boxes in my browser. What themes are being used. I opened the MIUI theme, and they use HDPI graphics on the check boxes. I could see how that would make them disappear. But they still showed up fine on mine. I switched back and forth from "android" and "Iphone" user agents in settings on the browser.

attachment.php

And Gmail, i don't think i ever saw any button boxes before. Even in the themed ones, there are no boxes. I'll see if I can make it work. On a side note these themed Gmails work. Gmail 2.3.5.2 - Inverted and Transparent (updated 10/3) COLORS ADDED!! - xda-developers Uninstall Gmail first from Titanium backup and install the downloaded file.

No theme at all in the browser just the optimus 2x theme for cm7. But that is a definate possibility did not think of it. Check it out and see

He uses HDPI graphics in the Optimus 2X theme also. THe checkbox buttons are 29x29 and should be 19x19. And the green arrow check boxes are large too, they should be 38x48 and not 57x72. When they say they theme framework, it means button boxes too and applies to all apps that use those graphics.

This is not a new problem and is not the roms doing, I would suggest searching for this topic, If I remember, it has something to do with multiple contacts trying to sync. IE: trying to sync from Gmail & restore from a saved backup.

Seems alot of the issues are things that have nothing to do with the rom, but with a settings issue or a theme that is not compatible with our device! I have tried all roms and this is to me the best rom period!!!

Actually I've used both universal themes. lunarUI and Crystal from the market and gingerblur, MIUI and mixer from XDA. Supposedly all compatible with CM 7 and mdpi. The following screenshots were taken with mixer vs Cyanbread with a reboot after applying.

Cyanbread:

Mixer:

Anyways this isn't a huge deal to me and was just looking at polish. I really just wanted to know if this was unique to my phone or was a general issue with themes. Great work on the ROM, it keeps amazing me :-)

Edit: I know you can see the check boxes in the screen but that's the only page they work on mixer. The item I'm showing was the dropdown menus.

I completely agree! I'm running barebones 10-17 and from what I've experienced with this rom after around 5 updates I've done is that every issue is resolved during the next update. A lot of effort on the kravens part in making this a wonderful rom for us.

If I have some time, I'll look at those themes, easiest would be to let them default to the sized images. Theme chooser just redirects graphic files.

Do they look ok in landscape?
