[ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 3/9 zvd only

Re: [ROM][WIP] CM7 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-23-2011

I'm currently running the 9/27 build with BobZhome 3.11 kernel as well as Adobe Flash 10.3 from here:

http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg...s/128833-adobe-flash-10-3-tested-working.html

Youtube works through the stock browser - I do NOT have the youtube app installed on my phone.

Build has been working quite solid and does everything I want

I also have the sprint visual voicemail working as well on the 9/27 build.

Any point in upgrading to 10/23?

There have been a few changes, largely related to the new 7.1 version of cyanogen. I really like the new bubble lockscreen, but little changes are not necessarily a good enough reason to upgrade. I know you need to do a full wipe to switch, there have been that many changes at a core level. Read thru the change log and see if anything seems like motivation for you.

Edit: Well looks like your build already had the new lockscreen animation.

1-Wiped, flashed rom.
2-Flashed Bobz-Gapps.
3-Rebooted and used buttonswapper.
Does any of this affect anything? This way I didn't have to flash Sprint to OV.

See if MMS and texting works. I looked inside the Sprint to OV conversion swap zip. It uses older 7/15 Messaging, Phone, Settings. You could swap those apps out with some of the later Virgin IHO roms. And add the SystemUI, from one of the center clock zips. Then flash it unsigned.

Wow my battery lasted 48 hours! Don't know if it's the updated ROM or the theme that saved battery life but is awesome!

What settings are you using?

I think i found what needs fixing in some CM7 themes. Link me the ones you want fixed.

How to flash zip your own files. I push my files via adb commands, but this should help those that can't do it. Open the template zip. And drop what ever files you want to flash. For example, say a MMS.apk goes in /system/apps, a bootanimation.zip goes in /system/media , gps.conf goes in /system/etc. SystemUI.apk goes in /system/apps, frameworks-res.apk goes into /system/frameworks .

Like this kitt bootanimation: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=540011&d=1299876973 Download the bootanimation.zip and place into the /system/media folder. Then flash in recovery.
attachment.php

Then copy to your Sdcard and boot into recovery, turn off signature verification and flash the zip file.

I left out the signing part, but it would be good to learn that also. See the link below about how to. .

Thanks to Daneshm90 and Nick7 for the theme port tools.

Nothing special. I'm just using the Orion theme and I haven't even changed anything in settings since I flashed the latest ROM.

Do you mean the check box issues? These two themes didn't have the boxes when I used them before. And the Meizu theme, the alarms UI looks broken but I don't know how to theme :(

The alarm mess up is because of the transparent bg's in the menus and such. Zdune had a fix for that in the extras folder.

Is all these issues with the themes about them resetting to default when the phone is rebooted? Thats what happens to me with any theme I have tried... Anyway to fix? Thanks...

Thanks for the info! I'll go check the folder.

So I looked in the folder I downloaded but I couldn't find the fix you're talking about. I have a folder called "addons" but it only has status bar patchers and icons and stuff. What is this file called?
Also your Orion theme, in the notification power widget, the button for sound+vibrate doesn't turn blue when selected. I don't know if it's just me. But thanks for the great theme!

If I can find the file, I'll post it with instructions.

I'll check out Orion, I may have missed something
